I bet boxed sections go directly to US standard crash rating. Notice that the boxed sections on boxed frames are always under the passengers. Plus any current full size 7-8 pass SUVs body on frame sit on boxed frames.
I bet the Mog and the Hilux are lousy machines to be in when a drunk clips...
The sylvan trailer is stupid $$$$$ and cheap tube construction on tiny wheels. And has a super light tiny tent. Last I looked a $9000 POS... I wouldn't recommend one to anyone.
I'm likely adding a hitch to my 4x6 trailer to run a typical 2 tray carrier. But I have some ideas to mount a tray on the side rail. Kids will be mtb in a yr or two can't wait!!! As such I need a more functional way to haul 4 bikes with the camp rig.
Cris did a nice job. His review seems pretty genuine. Not to mention I like that GM is listening to customers and executing. Something GM lost yrs ago and can only see great results from by listening and tweaking models. Those shocks should be an option on all the Colorado/canyons😀. I...
Viper v10 Dodge did it first in their trucks. Then Ford followed suit.
That is a cool truck. I saw a similar one recently in our town but the rv body looked shorter and narrower. Didn't see a brand or make. But I did a double take when I saw it. Rare rig for sure.
I noticed this throttle bump in several modern manuals. Same for what's best described as a lazy throttle response. I'm convinced it's tied to Auto makers vs emissions controls.
12gauge is plenty. When I did my big house install the rating for the 12ga harness was max 16 285watt panels with micro inverters per 12ga run.
So our typical small wattage mobile solar set up should be plenty covered with 12ga.
When I take Cabs most are Toyotas these days I always ask about mileage. The trend has been new ICE engine at around 320-350 due to bearings failing. That's what killed the neighbors 01 v6 Camry recently also 360k on it.
With any basic na modern engine bearing failure in the 300-350 range...
I bet there are more GM products over 200-250k on the road than toyotas. Same goes for Ford. Hell my dads old 99 exploder has 340,000 on it. How?? No idea all he has done is change fluids. It even towed a ski boat for a few yrs. Would I drive it across the country today? No... But it starts...
As for Toyota Dealers vs taco pricing or virtually any Toyota model in my area. Lets just say 3rd party dealers treat them as if they are lined with 24k gold. The stupid non haggle rediculous pricing will slowly shift as people discover better value from other brands. The Highlander now goes for...
Agreed. Btw My DD is a 2.5 Subaru Outback Limited. A big reason I find the Colorado/Canyon interesting is that it can do what my DD does and my occasional driver 05 Sequoia not counting 8 butts in seats. It can out haul the Sequoia regarding gear, it easily out paces the Subaru regarding road...
Fewer cells and better quality. The 310watt LG panel was the same size as the 285s I ended with. Has to do with cell density and quality for higher output.
My set up did 45kwh today;-) Microinverters 29 panels on the house.
My little camping rig is 2 10watt Renogy panels and a 18ah battery...
The fwc rigs seem ideal for the quick escape pod short trip stuff. The extended or nearly full time fwc folks seem to add a small gear trailer or mix in some sticks and bricks stays. But the short trip type stuff the fwc seems to be a great combo. One I'd like to have.
Checkout wanderthewest.com nearly all are pop up folks. They run everything from Ford rangers to big Dodges. One long timer former Tacoma owner is doing a huge Alaska trip in his new Colorado 2.8 that he's done some suspension stuff too. 20-25mpg seems to be range of mileage with the little...
The reports on the 2.8 so far every one have been similar regarding people being pretty happy with it. The regen thing I think will get tweaked and perfected and be a non issue. Though short trips were temps don't get hot seem to upset all the modern diesel emissions systems. Though it seems if...
