Northbound Tundra, building a 5 speed manual transmission swapped 2001 Toyota Tundra with 2uzfe 4.7 liter engine into an overland adventure vehicle

Just based on a quick glance, the r150f looks shorter than the a340 is. The shifter for my j shift sits closer to the center console than yours does. Granted, my transfer case shifter is custom shaft and 3d printed knob. I am waiting to get a fj cruiser shift knob but its low on my priority...

04 crew cab Tundra adventure build - New England.

I looked at the wet okle? Ones for a while but never ended up buying them. They looked to fit really well though. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

How do you like the seat covers? Have the held up pretty well? Sean

Gen 1 Tundra Alignment Cam Part Numbers

Just to comment, I installed the oem cams in place of the moog/spc/shittacular aftermarket ones and its night and day different as far as ease/accuracy, and stability of the alignment. No more clunking noises or anything. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

1st Gen Sequoia Transmission Drain Plug Temperature Sender

I don't remember which side is the "Hot" side of the cooler lines but I would run a tee there rather than have anything hang down from the pan. I found some fittings that adapt the stock cooler line with the flare to a -6an line. Sean

Gen 1 Tundra Alignment Cam Part Numbers

Tried to find this a few times online unsuccessfully so I went over to my local dealer and bit the bullet and ordered the parts. See attached. $299.35 all in, I am hoping I can find and reuse my old cams since they were $30.37 each. Even at full price, I am just happy to be getting rid of...

Leibbrand's 06 DC Limited Tundra Build

The black housing ones for the AC are pretty easy to find, the light output blows thought. If you go that route, do a projector retrofit for sure. I kick myself for not doing that years ago. Sean

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I don't actually know if the ecu has an oil temp sensor so I can't comment. It would also be worth looking at the order of the coolers and determining if putting one before the other would help. This is a totally baseless example and a huge oversimplification: If the radiator is at 180...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Those sound about right, you were probably around 3k rpm? Trans temp, add an additional transmission cooler, if you add it inline before the radiator you might see a slight drop in coolant temp. I typically like to go more off oil temps than coolant temps but you have to make due with what you...

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

Interesting bump stop upper mount, the rear pad things on my 01 are basically flush with the frame and do not hang down. I will try and remember to take a picture tonight. Sean

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

My understanding is that the stock cooler should not be bypassed as most aftermarket ones do not have enough cooling capacity. Stock its a water-to-trans fluid internal to the radiator with an optional extra one if you have the towing package if I remember correctly. I am planning to add one...

    AlaskanTundra

Make sure you do. My truck is also a texas truck but has seen a fair few beach days where some dunking was done. I am starting to get rust between the rivited components on the frame. Any time it was near salt water it got a full hose down under the truck and I did what I could to keep the frame...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Will be replacing with OEM slathered in grease or anti-seize and periodically lubed up or a straight 3/4" grade 8 bolt with fixed inserts. The aftermarket ones are garbage. Sean

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Same kit I used, the sleeve is too short inside so the sleeve pops against the mount. Really poor design. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

Yep, the stock alignment cam, lower control arm things. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Pops and clunks are from the lower control arm bolts, my truck does the same thing. Use the OEM adjusters and they will magically go away. I am in the process of doing that now. Drives me crazy Sean

Are you getting squeaking from the bushings or the uniball? Sean

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I have used lots of different lubes for the uniballs, I am currently running replacements from ruffstuffspecialties as the original uniballs had no liner left on them which could have been my fault for using non-spec lube. I am not an expert in any regard on this so use at your own risk...

2004 Sequoia (Project Baby Panda) - Adventure and Build Page

Its not, replaced those a year or so ago the whole top end is dry. The leak appears to be midway up the block, coming from somewhere behind the cover directly above the lower timing belt tensioner near the alternator. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
