LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

Yup, be real with yourself. I decided against going to 18s and getting a heavy LT tire when I’m 80-90% on road. I wish I could get a “tough” highway tire like the LTX in 255/60/19, but I’m going with Toyo AT3s.

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

Those aren’t enough tire. If you’re going P rated, you should get tires w a XL rating. P rated tires are rated at 35 psi and shouldn’t be run at higher than that, which you’ll need to do. Also, you can only use 91% of that load rating. XL tires are rated up to 45 psi. If you’re going to a 18”...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

I never busted a sidewall on KOs, KO2s, or KM1s... probably close 250k miles between four sets of tires. I did slice two Cooper AT3 sidewalls doing much less hardcore stuff.

    2012 Land Rover HSE V8 $38,000

Your price is CRAZY dude. I just bought a mint one owner LR4 HSE HD w 45k miles on it for $26. These are holding their value but they aren’t land cruisers. And ya gonna charge people 500 bones for a key they can program themselves w the IID tool you’re selling w the truck?

    85,000 Mile LR3?

Go for it. You’ll spend money baselining with fluids and maintenance no matter what. A clean low miles LR3 is hard to come by now, and a diff isn’t that expensive if it eventually needs it. If there’s no rust on a truck it’s worth fixing if you enjoy it. And honestly if you find yourself needing...

    85,000 Mile LR3?

thats like $8k US. I'd go for that, provided the inspection is OK. Keep some change in your pocket for the possibility of doing a diff eventually.

    85,000 Mile LR3?

Biggest issue on the early trucks will be the diffs. How much are you paying? $5000? $15000? We can't judge if its a "go" or "no go" without that really.

    What makes Toyotas so reliable?

Both lived in the same area since new. My stepdad’s 2013 FJ is crustier underneath than my Silverado was as well. The fact is Toyota frames rot away to nothing way faster than anything else. If they’re treated since new and cares for, I’m sure they’ll fair better. I have nothing against the...

I agree with him. Unless you're building a crawler, the new Defender is better at everything except for being a cooler vehicle.

    What makes Toyotas so reliable?

Heated front and rear seats and steering wheel here. I'm not even that old, but I dont understand why some people are proud do daily uncomfortable cars. I'm all for "back to basics" as the next guy, but heated seats aren't "luxury" items. My base level 2012 Golf had them. I like being...

    What makes Toyotas so reliable?

The only reason the Tundra doesnt have more composite parts like the oil pan is because the design is so old it predates the fitment of them. Every new car uses composites to save weight. The intake manifold and oil filter housing on the Tacoma is plastic. And if a Tundra is what you think...
