Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

That probably is a superior product but the problem for Pat is the application. It has to be sprayed with a bulky gravity gun and access is most likely an issue when working inside some of his compartments.

Pretty sure you cam have it any color you want....as long as it's black. :)

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

If I were you and I wanted something textured I get a gallon of herculiner and call it good. You can roll it on, use a brush to dab/slop it into corners, and it's pretty dad gum durable. Prep isn't any more than you'd be looking at with any other painty type stuff. Scuff em, clean em, roll...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Pat I don't see why you couldn't. As long as you can reach the scuffing shouldn't be a big deal. A palm sander will make that go a lot better. My biggest concern would be the actual spraying. Think having a spray gun with a big can of spray paint hanging off the bottom. As long as you can...

Me either. I just hope I can stay with it steady enough to keep it from being a "project". Yeah, he's my Boy. Love that mutt to death even though he's a huge pain in the ********. Should be obvious by now since I keep dropping pictures of him in here. :)

Nope, just a self-etching primer on the bare aluminum, and then shoot it. I'm not spraying paint, I'm spraying the whole thing with Raptor Liner and supposedly its a scuff n shoot product.

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Aaaand getting ready for the raptor liner. Main I hate anything remotely resembling body work. It's just SO freakin tedious, and then all the taping, and detail sanding, and and and. I think I have a bit more than half of the module sanded. I'll have some primer to spray on the bare aluminum...

COLORADO CAMPER VAN LLC-**Do business at your own risk**

Dayumm! That's an offer. Say, my 24 yr old injectors are probably needing replaced and I can't get Ford to do a dang thing about it. Hmmmm??? :D

    Interstatng an 07 E-350

It's not that the 6.0s can't be made solid and strong, it's that when something goes wrong, and it will sooner or later, they are stupid expensive to fix. That's the biggest problem with the modern diesels. I've had 3 of those, a 6.4, and a 6.7. The 6.7 so far has been trouble free, the...

    Wayfarer Vans minimalist conversion kit

I guess I'm the naysayer. I liked the magnetic panel system, feeling it to be an innovative approach (as long as it performs), and as long as that price included the grey as well as the funky colored bits. To me there's more dollar value here than any other part of the kit. But IMO it fell...

    UJOR Build Thread

Chris I may have asked you this already but if I did I can't find it. I need to change that gasket that goes between the cab and the ambo module. In your learned opinion, do you think if I disconnected all the body mounts for the module, and unbolted the pass-through area, I'd gain enough...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Not so far. Really, dont see the need at this point. It's not intended to be some crazy off road rig. But, if I did I'm guessing I'd get a bit more flex out of it before the rear starts to lift. And frankly I'm not quite sure how to go about it, though I haven't given it much thought. On...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Stripped all the orange plasti-dip off yesterday in preparation for the Raptor Liner to come. When I put this stuff on I screwed the pooch somehow because most of the edges were lifting, which prompted me to seal them with ridiculously expensive 3M pinstriping tape. It did the job. I have to...

There's a storm coming. Duh duh dun da dun. (That's Terminator music in case my mad music skills were lost on you) [/IMG] Any photoshop gurus out there want to take a shot at recoloring this shot? I didn't mind this color scheme too awful much other than it looked a bit too much like...

I don't think my old packs were negative, and they were 24 yrs old. When I said lift my rear 3" I meant 3 more inches from where it is now, and the springs in there were supposed to be a 6" lift to begin with. I started stripping all the plasti-dip tonight so I can start scuffing everything...

New vs used arb 50qt fridge

My personal rule of thumb is used = 30%!off retail right off the bat. No offense to certain folks but I've found that on enthusiast sites people tend to think their junk is golden. "Six months old, only used twice. Amazon is $900, mine is screamin deal at $750". Or even better "won in a...

    97 E350 Crestline Ambo Build/Mod

I've got 2 new rear packs to install that are supposed to the lift the entire rear end 3". What I intend to do is install those and see where I'm at. If I'm not level, in any direction, I'm going to cannibalize the old packs and add leaves to the new where needed to level it up. That's...

    97 E350 Crestline Ambo Build/Mod

Guess what? I was doing some work to get ready for a "paint" job and just for giggles decided to measure my lean. I knew it had some but I don't recall measuring it or thinking it was too bad. Exactly 2" low on the passenger side. And these were brand new packs installed at the same...
