On a truck you're looking at about a $4k bill doing quality injectors, and not much else. Cab off on that model year truck is 2-3 hrs depending on the tech. Not sure what you're looking at on the van in order to do the job, but up above should give you a baseline.
And like Chris said, once...
Sorry to hear, but I wasn't surprised. That's usually the go-to line when A) someone doesn't know what the problem really is and doesn't want to admit it, or B) they do know what the problem is but don't want to own up to the possibility that they might have screwed the pooch.
How exactly...
I can just hear it now. "your packs must be non-standard and we can't be responsible blah blah." "book calls for this pack and we made it perfect blah blah."
When you going to haul it over?
I'm not a super huge fan of short arm 4-links, but for the most part that conversion doesn't look too awful bad to me. The coil bucket setup is a little funky but it at least looks like it might have been done well, if that makes any sense. Sometimes hard to tell from pictures. I'd have to...
Wow. I didn't think it was that much lean. Mine visibly leans but nowhere near that much, and it's not an uncommon thing. Older jeeps are famous for it and my first superduty had it from brand new. "Within specs" was the response. I think your on your best course, drive that bugger over there.
Truth be told I probably wont change anything in the foreseeable future. It's just that it's a big enough beast a 37" tire doesn't really look all that big (to my eyes) and it would probably look more proportional with something around 40". BUT, that is getting to the point it's going to be...
Don't see why. It's been done before, by the factory no less
When I get around to swapping in the new springs u-joint sent I fully intend to do exactly that if I still have the lean.
I'm not entirely surprised. I don't know much about making springs. Is there some kind of spec book they use in order to recreate springs for a specific vehicle type? How exactly do they know what to make?
When I got my springs in for my ujoint conversion the rear end sat a good 3" low...
Unfortunately ham isn't completely free of the CB mentality. It seems more and more these days are folks who don't see any particular reason why they should have to bother with studying and licenses and all that "nonsense". You just grab a $30 ChungKing radio and yak away good buddy.
Welcome...
An option to consider for the turbo blanket is to DIY. I went to harbor freight and bought a welding blanket and a spool of stainless steel mechanics wire. I figure some cutting/trimming/ and a few folded layers along with some stainless steel "thread" and I'll be in business for about $30 or...
Don't rely on just that thick gooey tape stuff to seal it. Get some self leveling Dicor at your local RV place to go around it as well. Cause leaks are bad mmkay?
Btw, do your box Windows have screens? None of mine except the one the PO added do, and it sure would be nice to have that...
