    Surco rack question

Ok, now that would be plenty strong. But to get that setup would be a bit more than $200! Very cool though. I still dont know if Id attach a roof tent to the top of the sides though.

Quick release mudflaps for all four wheels.

They are quick release, so I can take them off when I wheel. For normal back and gravle roads, I can leave them off.

Quick release mudflaps for all four wheels.

I just used a razor blade...you have to make 10 or 15 passes with it before it will cut through all the way.

Thanks! Yeah, the white paper was just a reference for sizes and stuff. I wanted to get an idea of what I was working with. The toughest part of the project for me was figuring out the drop brackets and downward angles for the rear, and cutting the top of the rear flaps at an angle so they...

    AX15 SYE Help

I dont see any harm in removing it to see if its a noticable difference. But, by removing it, if you decide to keep it that way, it will put more stress on the tcase than not having the drop on there. Now, if you decide to do the SYE (im going to do the one in the thread in my first response)...

Quick release mudflaps for all four wheels.

FIN! Finally got them done. I dont have any pics of the last part of the process. It was basically just me attaching the flaps to the brackets and cutting the flaps to size, etc. Simple, but time consuming. I freakin LOVE the way it looks, and it makes it a bit more unique to all other...

    AX15 SYE Help

You might still be able to run a front DS out of a ZJ, as Ive heard they are a bit longer than a front XJ. Also, the Ford Explorer (not sure what years, sorry) had a DS that work with the same hardware used to put a front DS in the back after a SYE. Im not sure if its any longer though. The...

Like I said, to each their own..ha. I know this is going to be a pretty unpopular mod for most people. They wont look nearly so invasive when its not a WHITE sheet of paper and the aluminum is black IMO. But, Ill continue to update the thread when they are finished. They should arrive...

ha ha..thank you. Not everyone is. I really dig the look (like this http://www.hybrid-vehicle.org/images/38ur.gif) and the functionality. Although my tires are much smaller than the pic..haha. But I understand this mod isnt for everyone!

    Wheel and tire choice

33/10.50R15 BFG MTs on stock wheels, with about the same lift you have. They tucked quite nicely, with a little hammering to the rear of the wheel wells. The only thing is I couldnt turn the wheels to full lock without rubbing the lower control arms. heres the link to my XJ, there should...

    700 BHP Brabus V12 G

This is my train of thought as well. Im sure these are built in EXTREMELY limited numbers, for those that want to pay. But if your well off to own that, you might be well off to own that AND a diesel powered G for your offroading pleasure. Different folks have strokes. I completely dig...
