One thing that I was wondering as well...
Romer,
This issue is one that I have been trying to figure out as well. There is not a real option for a trailer mounted RTT (Changing room). The height issue really hinders the added bonus room option. I look forward to your solution.
By the way...
I have read that prolonged storage of a trailer can be bad for the tires. Due to the lack of heat from use, the oils within the tires can deteriorate. What do you all recommend? I rotate the tires on my vehicle every time I change the oil (3500 mile intervals). Would you recommend that I do...
Update...Tent options continued
Just found this system from the North Face. :Wow1: It is called the 'Docking Station'. It consists of the 6 man common area which can then have several 4 man / 2 man 'rooms' zipped to the 3 remaining panels...Pretty interesting to say the least...
Sorry to 'steal your thunder' on using some of your trailer pics...Hopefully, Robert will be sending me pics of my own Sherpa II very soon. When that happens, I'll use my trailer pics instead! :victory:
Welcome to the ExPo!

Update...Tent options and Ancillary equipment
Got some more 'photochopped' pics of what I want to attempt with the Mombasa Adventure II tent and the Oztent RV-3. I think that the RV-3 is a better option due to the width being 8 feet versus the RV-2 being 6' 6". My vision of the setup would be...
Elmo,
It is my understanding that this tank is 15G. Things are going to have to be moved around. Robert is going to get the footprints measured and will get back to me. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. :coffee:

Update...Fridge and Onboard water
Pulled the trigger on a freezer/ fridge today. It is the Engel 45 purchased at Cabelas. :victory: I had earned a pretty nice chunk of Cabelas cash from my business credit card (Doing my part to stimulate the economy as well as stamping out dental disease...
Update...Powder coating
Got some of the other 'photochopped' images back today. I'm going to get some samples from the powder coater in a week or so. I have narrowed it down to either the metallic silver, dark metallic silver, silver vein, or black...
Here is a pic of wet black as...
Update...Powder coating continued
I am not sure if this copper vein look would look too trendy with the whole metallic 'earthy' feel...Yeah I'm not feeling the whole copper vein look with the 'photochopped' version.
another option I found was this copper vein in a matte finish that reminds...
Update...Powder coating
Now is the time for powder coating...The price for the Sherpa includes powder coating of the trailer as well as the cargo / fender boxes. The frame of the trailer will be PC'd with a black hammertone finish with some gloss...
The cargo / fender boxes are presenting...
Update...LED light system and Electrical
Got off the phone with Robert yesterday and decided on the electrical system as well as the LED light system...**Disclaimer - I am NOT an electrical guy by any stretch of the imagination so my knowledge regarding these specific systems are limited in...
Reports of this setup have been very good. I figure that this suspension system was better than going with a torsion axle (cost on this upgrade was negligible)...The step above this option was going to be considerably more (Old man emu shocks, Dakar leafsprings, and custom articulating arms)...
Swiss,
I will be going with the 'mid-grade' suspension system. It consists of leafs with shocks...Here is the system that I will be getting (Photo credit goes to Aggie). I decided to go with this as opposed to a torsion axle. Robert is now offering a suspension system that will consist of...
Sounds very interesting...Oztent has a new awning as well. This may help in your design...

That is why I am considering the Mombasa / Oztent combination...It's all about the options for me. Had a chance to talk to Randy at Oztent tonight...This combination may indeed work because the awning is somewhat adjustable from it's reported 6'6" height. What I need to do now is to find a...
