Friend had the scorpions on his L3 wore out fast. Every time I end up with a pirelli tire I swear Ill never buy them again. Every one of them have worn out really fast and didnt really offer any stand out advantages over other brands.
Hmm you guys should try marketing the awning/ room to the Triatholon folks too. Looking at that set up I know a few gear nuts that are full nutz about Triatholon events where that set up would really fit their event gear needs.
Not sure how good that controller is or how easy it is to use.
Do you need a controller? Wasnt sure if you had one yet?
I have this one works great no issues nice features etc. Easy to use. If your not using the power out feature turn the mode to "CH" the 24hr power on to the output side...
I would just get a Renogy 80watt hard panel. I just installed 29 285watt panels on my house. After months of research I'll say this. Most solar panels sold to the adventure types with fancy branding are massively over priced and really nothing special. Get a Renogy panel and call it good.
Yes I know. But I need to sell our big toy 28ft sailboat, and redistribute the toy monies into other stuff. Block ice in the old cooler has been fine for our short trips.
I want this before a fridge. Can park it at home vs a $250 slip fee every month;-)...
If I needed 80watt I would go this route. I set my two 10watt panels out where the sun hits. Rarely is the vehicle sitting in a spot not impacted by shade on my trips...
Same spot I put our Ice chest. Coleman Classic. Drain plug facing out. I have space infront of the Ice box for gear storage. I dont tote a full sized spare though. Tire plugs and airpump and the skinny spare. Given I'm hauling 4 and a dog, and trailer our off road clearance is limited to mellow...
Still waiting for TFL to do that test. Various reviewers have commented 30-34 highway and mid 20s around town. Not bad considering my 2.5L Subaru typically does 21-24mpg around town and 28-32 on highway.
Just a side note TFL did the Mileage loop test with the Diesel canyon. 5600lb 3horse trailer. Just over 12mpg. A flipac on that rig could probably beat my Subaru average mileage on the same road trip. Especially if bikes are stowed under the Flipac vs roof racked.
Full size 4dr pickup with a new aluminum Flipac. Disco bunkbeds in the truck bed for the kids, ma and pa up top. Could even set up the bunkbeds pre trip to stack gear bags in for easy packing and set up. Trust me I've been thinking allot about a 4dr long bed 4x4 Canyon. Could be the right combo...
I like it. One thing about the Flipac most married guys can probably get funds approval from the boss for one. But a full on FWC lol might require more body parts stowed in the wifes hand bag. ;-)
Oh my setup I run the load through the output side of the controller to a small 6 fuse block. I can see my load on the controller and leverage the 11.4 volt cut off feature.
Hey T I have the same charge controller. Great value. As a side note when I park it for a while I switch off the 24h on status for the power out side of the controller. I noticed a large drop in battery drain when I did that. My set up is a mini version of yours. 18hr battery and all the power...
My 2001 Legacy GT Limited 5spd mt was a great car only issue Subaru fixed no questions asked at 65k. Beat the living hell out of that car. Only reason we sold it was for more space in the new 2010 OB.
I do like range when exploring the 395 strip. Which is why I typically make a big effort to fit our Subaru over the truck. One reason the new 2.8 diesel Canyon / colorado has my attention. Similar range capability as the Subaru but better load rating and propper 4x4 capability etc. Jerry jugs...
