I’ve been looking into the same thing after seeing someone do this for a schoolie conversion, but after a few months and started losing hope.
Then, I found this site that seems to make all kinds of adapters to charge home brew EVs - https://www.tucsonev.com/
Now, I’m trying to find a way to...
I would live to hear more about the replacement OEM 360 cameras, if you’re so inclined to help me understand what’s possible with a flatbed on a SD.
Seems like a great setup - good luck with the sale!

The Heatmiser Slimline N I’m using can do that. I don’t have it running with a Propex heater (I’m using it with my Espar Hydronic heater) but it can do differentials, schedules and has a “freeze proof” and a regular living mode.
I think it will work for you.

I have had a 66i for a couple of years now and overall it’s a good unit. Sadly, like all Garmin products I ever owned or heard from others, there are some frustrating software/firmware glitches.
I really like the screen and mapping (quite a step up from the Explorers) and it’s a great size for...
Traction boards are by far the best and most used “trail/off-road” accessory I use - easy to use and has been able to get me (or others) out of a jam more times than I can count. Money well spent!

I have a 4.5 gallon calorifer and it’s a lot of hot water. Consider that you will be mixing cold water with the stored hot water, either through your tap or better yet, through a mixing valve exiting the calorifer so 2/4 gallons of extremely hot water will produce much more useable hot water...
For what it’s worth, I went through the same agony of research and attempt at finding the ideal solution - I’m not sure I found it but I’m really happy with the solution I’ve been using for nearly two years now.
I fill our water storage (four 5 gallon Jerry cans manifolded into my water system...
150% agree!
In our van build, I use 4 Scepter 5 gallon/20 litre Jerry cans, instead of one large tank. And I’ve manifold two of the Jerry cans at once to the water pump and system.
Here’s why:
Easy to fill by simply pulling out one, two or all Jerry cans to fill at a campground, in a grocery...
Here’s what I’ve done with my ladder. It’s on a van and I do use the ladder regularly enough but at the same time, I was tired of getting the traction ladders from the inside of the van. So, I made a hinged mount for them on the ladder.
It makes sure the boards are easily accessible while...
Garmin, the company I love to hate …. While I’ve considered getting an Overlander a number of times, I just can’t wrap my head around some of the limitations that I knew about - and your list is way more exhaustive than mine was [emoji2369]
I’m a loyal InReach (GPSMaps 66i) customer and I have...
Just keep in mind a Canadian resident can not “import” a foreign registered vehicle duty free in Canada. So, you would either have to pay the duties and taxes upon import or pay for a bond to cover the value of the duties and taxes until “export”.
Not a big deal for the initial import (that’s...
Have you considered using GPS coordinates/geocoding to find your photos based on location?
Im using an app called Geotag Photo 2 on my iPhone to record a GPS track which I can import into Lightroom and easily add the geocode information to my photos.
I can then locate photos by date (how I...
