Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX inflation help

Way too low. You should'v mentioned your build weight to start with. Yes, at 6500+, you need at least upper 40's in the tires. I run the 275/65-18 BFG AT KO2 at no less than 46 but up to 52 fully loaded. On the trail I've been testing a 34" BFG KM2 at 26 psi which is just about perfect so...

Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX inflation help

WRONG to suggest this. Do you know what an lr3 weighs in factory base format? It's 6000 lbs with just one driver and fluids, nothing else. Mine is 8000 lbs on some trips. 7k most of the time.

LR2 vs LR3 Which has the better build quality?

Funny, most of your "better" ideas are all just subjective opinion. Disco II suspension has never told me "suspension fault, lowering and reducing power until resolved", "compressor running too much", etc. Never had to replace half shafts or a differential in the Disco II (did both in my...

Hannibal as well as the rack seeing as they work well together but I imagine other awnings would mount to the rack side rails. However, I doubt the Hannibal awning would work as well with other racks not having the exact extrusion rail. One could adapt them though by other attachment methods...

Deflated all and ended up with this. First thing I realized the awning walls barely touch the ground with just the flap meant to be flat on ground for rocks or snow. Sort of annoying but could make an extension solution. Drove down the street and while it’s stifff as hell, you could get home if...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

thx. I have looked into that brand and determined i liked the materials and whatever about M&M better ... .However, do you think canvas would stay less hot vs the neoprene? I've honestly considered looking into ventilated RRS or RR seats swap for the front. However, none of the same era RRS...

    Rear Lockers

Full disclosure, I prefer many engineering features of the RRS and RR but the space and flexibility of functions of the LR3/4 won out for me, even after buying a new 2007 RRSC (fullsize). A RRS SC is just that RRS-SC vs RRSC ;) I studied them in depth though at the time. A few things: 1-...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Ray, what is up with those lr3 seats????? I see contrast piping..... I've long wished the lr3 had interior choices like the prior discos. The DII with tan leather and black carpet, piping, always looks slick but I love the most my 2004 which has the Aspen interior and Vienna green paint...

I just re-installed the strut spacers and seem to have it dialed in with the shortened rods and a proper mix of ride height and suspension extension. I tried the spacers last year but with factory sensor rods because i didn't realize it was needed to balance the system out. it makes sense...

    Full length rack noise

I actually float the RTT past the front edge which leaves exactly half of the rack still open at the rear. This also allows the ladder to set right onto the bull bar with tent floor flat and tight.

    Full length rack noise

    A. Thule wise fairing can be rigged to work for many racks and is pretty cheap. B. I have a Hannibal which like Ezi Awn, is one of the few orienting the slats front to rear which is quieter IMO. The tracks use simple M8 upside down hex nut bolts to secure things. You can use the threaded...

Above photo showing right rear tire near slider is to remind anyone that the rear suspension design shortens the wheelbase as lifted higher. Such that the tire comes closer to the slider as seen. It’s just an interesting detail. These are factory 18”’wheels without any spacer. The other photo...

Still no luck sourcing those chocks for you. Tested the big tires today on much more demanding terrain. This trail is super narrow too. It was Evan’s Creek number 102 rated most difficult: http://www.nwjeepn.com/EvansCreek.htm ~24 psi seemed about right for the current weight but I’d like to...

I tried to find the chok traks a few times to no avail but have asked a UK guy who claims to have a set as well if he knows where to find them now. Yeah these Michelin tires are fine off road even if it’s dry. Main concern is sidewall strength against any sharp rocks but i had them around 40 I...
