    Western Rally

That sounds fun and not too bad a drive either. Hwy would be my main route from seattle simply for scenery

    lr4 on 33" tires

Those look good. Can you post a real photo of the backside to see how the studs mount into the disc? I'll try to grab a shot of mine as well.

LR3 factory air tank for aux air.

yep, it's a nice addition. Have had mine working since 2007. Only leak was in a swivel fitting near the compressor under the hood so it was easy to fix. I've been trying to figure out how to stuff my ARB twin compressor into the spot where the single barely fits though ;) Having the tank is...

    LR3 Slider options/opinions

It seems like TR pretty much did the same as the first ones out made by a couple guys using name "Rover Specialties" back in 2007. I have these and they are probably the stoutest/overkill of all of them based on weight and what I've seen from a design style. Mine are actual 99 lbs (each) so...

    LR3 Mantec skid mounting

I don't understand. The plates I have all mount to factory nuts welded or otherwise already held in place. The engine plate has 6 I think with 2 being also used to overlap with the separate radiator/bumper connecting plate. These front 2 however are like M5 unlike the other 4 which are much...

Does the rep of "unreliable" still hold true?

$1200?! I did all 8 of mine last summer. Are you only having the UCA done. not the lower as well? It's the right time to do everything in that zone like sway bar bushings, end links, brakes, hubs, etc anything that might be needed.

    lr4 on 33" tires

H&R "gowide" makes the best spacers IMO. German quality, smart seating of studs via pressed spline, not an annoying back threaded bolt that can loosen. They have 2 sizes but I swear it was 25mm and 30mm, maybe go see if it wasn't 20/25.

    lr4 on 33" tires

Visit Rovers North. They have what you want. Just notice that there are several styles and some have a special flap cut-out to allow for how the exhaust pipe ran through the area too close on one side. The lr3/4 just needs the symmetrical ones. You'll have to make you own mounting plate and...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

AMEN bro! ;) Hey, here's an idea for this thread, I wonder how the strut spacers would affect a steel spring converted LR3/4. The springs set static height about 2" higher which is what the rods usually do as well as my standard go-to +50mm on the LLAms dial. Adding the strut spacer would...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

thx for the clarification. I may try them again but with the rods and also adding 51mm to the base setting. I'm also going to do some searching for new air line in bulk.

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

I have found the braking to be just as good. I did get the EBC slotted/dimpled and green pads. I have to admit though, the first thing that I wondered after installation was... is there enough room now that a spacer would allow a 16" wheel ? LOL

    LR3 Front bumper options

I just saw in the Rovers North monthly they have a pretty slick bumper. It tidy with no upper bars AND unlike many others, it's galvanized first.... I like the protection the ARB upper bull bars provide but I would also appreciate having 'just enough' up front with a lot less weight and also...

Towing an “adventure trailer” with disco I or II?

I don't think the D2 rated towing is 7700, I think it's more like 5500. Regardless, practically no sense comparing the D2 to lr3. I have all three and have towed with all three. About 10k miles in the lr3 with a tandem maxed out cross country. Off roaring though with a medium weight ADV...

LR3 Suspension troubleshooting - stiff and bumpy ride, no small bump compliance

Lol people blaming the dampers (shocks)! They don't transmit road gaps like that even when worn out. You'd be bouncy if they were worn out. They dampen for larger movements than road cracks. Besides, mine at 130k miles didn't show any signs of that crap but the bushings did and in order to see...

Driving LR3 in North central Mexico???

I hadn't subscribed so I missed the helpful replies. Thx. I suppose but what's a family to do for safety? I'm pretty sure we can go into Canada with proper rifles to hunt, not Mexico? I mean through legal methods.

    2 LR3 maintenance questions

Lol dude. You can't be sure they did anything wrong at all after that much time. Totally uncool to try hurting their business without proof. For the sound, try some different tests where you use the sport shift to Slow vs brakes. Also if it's the brakes, I'd think they should make the sound...
