ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

My 270 amp alt should help with the power draw. I just like the fact that it is portable, from one vehicle to another in a jiffy, water resistant carry case & has its own air tank.

    Internal or external kitchen?

Or---get rid of that wife & have a happy life. LOL J/K---no hate mail please. Everyone has their comfort level. It is important to respect your partners comfort level & be realistic. The older you get, the less you will enjoy set up & take downs. I try to work smarter, not harder as i get...

ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

My plans are this: I already have a Rigid 18v impact gun. It easily removes the lugs (135 ft lbs) on our Power Wagon. It will only tighten them to around 120-130 ft lbs though, which is perfect for me. I will carry my torque wrench when traveling. I also already have a 5 gal aux air tank that i...

Need help with a truck/camper suspension upgrade

I used these on our Power Wagon with excellent results. http://www.jegs.com/i/Hellwig/207/3527/10002/-1?CAWELAID=1710550337&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CJPqrcf5t8sCFdU7gQodvhQFhw

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

Yes, it was an option in 2006-2008, then it stopped. We ordered ours new BECAUSE we could get the 6-speed manual trans. We had an 04 2500 QCab w/Hemi & 545RFE trans & it sucked for pulling our 10,500 lb toyhauler. Same 345hp Hemi. The G-56 made ALL the difference. It pulled our toyhauler easily...

ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

What size impact wrench is the ticket with this set up ? 3/8" or 1/2" ? I know nothing about air impacts other than the specs forward & reverse in ft lbs.

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

Another vote for the Power Wagon here. We have a 2008 QCab w/G-56 6-speed manual. LOVE IT !!! Yes, it gets horrible mpg, in fact, I think my particular truck gets the worst 8-10, whether empty or loaded about the same, except on hills, where i saw 2 mpg pulling a long 20 minute hill at 6% grade...

    Frame rust questions

So, what is the deal on the Toyota frames that are being replaced under warranty for rust ? Is it the Tacoma's or the Tundra's ? Asking because i took a cruise through the Toyota dealer yesterday & saw 7 brand spanking new frames & 8 rusted out frames behind the shop. When i asked, no one wanted...

ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

Looking for input from those that have one or have used one, remember, this is the kit with the air tank inside a waterproof case. Does it work relevant to it's price ? Does it need a bigger tank to use air impact to remove tires for a roadside repair ? Is it worth the money ? Thanks for your...

If you were going to have a do everything Tacoma or Tundra, what model would you get.

And then there is this: $$$$$ http://www.toyotaofbatavia.com/new/Toyota/2016-Toyota-Tundra-batavia-f1e2dd310a0e0ae77546168a97c48745.htm

    2016 Colorado Diesel

Does anyone else think that 28-31 mpg from a 2.8 turbo Duramax is dismal ? The 1500 Dodge Crew Cab Eco Diesel i drove got 28.9 mpg. That is one heavy truck compared to a Colorado. Engine is about the same size. I figured the GM would get close to 40 mpg, empty @ 55 mph.

    Building a camping/bugout/SHTF setup?

Bottom line is this: If you are somewhat prepared for things, an emergency will become a mere inconvenience. You can take this philosophy to what ever degree you are comfortable with & can financially afford. Things people have told me that i find useful: Prepare for the worst but hope & pray...

Let's see some lifted, crew cab ram 2500 with camper shells

I had MANY people tell me this exact thing. I am sure glad i inquired about it before i bought mine. I know 5-6" does not seem like much, but the little extra height is worth it's weight in gold. I am SO GLAD i got the MX series with the extra height.

    Has anyone ever lifted....

Thanks for the input. We have since bought a small camper, single axle with a good lift from the factory. I know, this is definitely NOT an "off-road" camper, but it fit all of our needs for now. If I ever do want a true off road trailer, I will be getting an M1102 & build it myself.

    Trailer off alternator?

Yes, a fuse is an important safety feature. The beauty of the Anderson Power connectors are: when you need it, you plug it in. When you don't, you just unplug it. NOTHING TO FAIL, which is important when you are in the middle of BFE. lol I have a 270 amp DC Power alternator in our Power Wagon...
