The white LJ that AEV converted used a Liberty sourced 2.8 and 545 automatic ( and 242 transfer case and Rubicon axles ). It is a total pain because the diesel engine computer needs a speed signal. I tow things all over with my 1st gen on 39s. No big deal. Mine is just a regular cab longbed. It does sit low for the big tires though. I think that helps.

What is the best option for a LARGE group 31 battery these days? I am looking for an AGM style unit with a good warranty. My old Dodge Cummins is pretty hard on the battery in the winter.... I am not interested in doing with duals or anything. I just want a single big huge battery.....
