    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

Good call, I was about to echo what most have said here having tried an earlier Tundra with a 1200 lb camper. That was a joke and waaaay to little truck once all loaded up. I now roll a 1700 lb Alaskan and 2 dirt bikes, 2 dogs, my lady and gear on an older F250 PSD and the truck barely breaks a...

    3-way Fridge Replacement Options?

I see, I will say my buddys fwc did have a bunch of reflectix around the fridge so that makes sense. I've been meaning to do this but the weather hasn't been that warm so I haven't been in a hurry

    3-way Fridge Replacement Options?

Nope, would there be some potential advantage of doing this? I figured it would be a bonus that they are there already. My buddy FWC has a stock compressor fridge and it has outside vents fwiw

    3-way Fridge Replacement Options?

3000 bucks is a pretty high number to throw around as far as price of admission that's wa y over double what I spent. Your camper already has a battery (or 2) I assume. The biggest Truckfridge model sells for 800 bucks shipped and I added a Renogy Briefcase solar for under 300 and it keeps my...

    3-way Fridge Replacement Options?

I hear ya and did the the same thing myself. I did a bunch of maintenance to get my 3 way working again which included cleaning the burner and flu, replacing the thermal coupler and the flame sensor wiring. It seemed to work ok some of the time but was still inconsistent at best and I did read...

    3-way Fridge Replacement Options?

We replaced the 3 way Norcold (NOcold) in our Alaskan and couldn't be happier. We choose a Truckfridge TF130 which has waaay more inside space without taking up more than a 1/4 inch in width of the 3 way.Truckfridge has fast shipping and great customer service btw.

    12 volt refrigerator

x2 on the Truckfridge which is actually rebadged "Indel B" I bought mine direct from truckfridge site. I got the tf130 to replace my 3 way norcold. Had to trim a 1/4 inch of the cabinet and fits great, works great & WAY more space than the Nocold

    A Hawk in the Arctic

Having an Alaskan myself I can vouch for it's worthiness in cold weather, it does gather some condensation on the windows however. If I could find a dual pane option that would probably help a ton. While it's certainly heavier than a FWC Hawk it's weight is no issue in a 3/4 ton truck, we even...

Got an AT Bobcat, need a truck. Considerations for ~ year 2000-2004?? Advice??

My old truck was the same way so I built this drop hitch adapter to lower the bike to a usable height. I also added headlights on the carrier wired to a separate switch. Easy fix

    Alaskan on a 97 F250 4x4 Diesel

Got out in the rig a couple weekends ago for a shake down run in the Tahoe Wilderness. We ended up camping at Bowman Lake and took a fun route through some pretty rough road to get there. The truck felt great and had no problem pulling off the extra weight of the new bed even with 2 dirt bikes...

    Alaskan on a 97 F250 4x4 Diesel

Thanks! Since the rear boxes are narrowed to fit the camper there is limited space for cargo now. Since the standard shelves didn't fit anymore I made a narrow shelf that happens to fit my compressor and emergency flasher just fine. I might add another above it to carry a few more small items.
