Tankless water heater done!
Got this part of the project buttoned up now, seems to work great and install came out pretty clean. I might add a louvered vent in the top of door if I think it needs it but well see how it works this weekend.
Yeah it's a good amount for sure, we can also carry a 7 gal blue jug in one of the utility compartments if need be as well. The holding tank in the camper allows you to set a jug down and turn the spigot on to just pour into the tank too. Has come in handy more than once.
Operation tankless water heater has begun
As I've mentioned I wanted to use the r side rear compartment for my tankless water heater. I've been chipping away last couple days and got the plumbing pretty much knocked out and just need to mount the TLWH and run 2 more lines for the H20.

Well here she is still sorting out the little bits but the heavy lifting is done. I ended up bolting through the floor as it turned out to be the strongest option. It's not as bad as I feared to line it all up thankfully.
Now with BBQ!
Got the brunt of an idea that's been rolling around in my head for a bit worked out yesterday. Slide out BBQ! Got some nice 14" drawer slides and put together a sliding platform for the gas grill to sit on in the forward driver compartment. The pics show a temporary gas line...
By the way we ended up camping at a local spot since we were all packed for it and tried out the new set-up. The Truck fridge combined with the 100 watt Renogy ROCKS! never went below 12v
Yep the torque converter lock-up solenoid takes it's signal from the third brake light to unlock. Burnt bulb makes it think you are using the brake...We even stopped at a tranny place before aborting the trip and they didn't even think of it. Glad I didn't end up spending a pile of dough to find...
So our weekend plans to the mountains in the action wagon got de-railed. We had the symptoms of a 2k problem turn out to be a 2 buck problem. I solved this mystery after we limped home and un-packed. Non-locking torque converter was to be blamed on a burnt 3rd brake light bulb : /
Oy Vey!
PICS!
Also got the rest of the rear of the bed pretty much done as well, I might fix a few small imperfections later but with a huge to do list and us camping out of it this weekend it's close enough for Rock n Roll. I used to use the stock beds tailgate gate latch as an anchor for my moto...
Hey Jamie! Thanks I didn't know you were on here.
Santa clause showed up yesterday with our new Truckfridge and Renogy 100 watt suitcase. We got the TF130 fridge shoehorned in after zipping off 1/4' of width from one side of the old opening. Well give a review after trying it this weekend. I...
You should also feel free to just call Alaskan and talk to Brian. He's very knowledgable, friendly and willing to give advice on the maintenance and repairs of the older campers. He might even have some pics of that vent to send you.360-748-6494
