Ah gotcha! I'll post a review in my build thread on the Truckfridge in action. In other news I ordered a 100 watt Renogy suitcase solar panel set-up to supplement my juice.
Hope to have good things to say about it all!
Jeff
I tried looking into them but like you said crappy website and I found it really hard to find an RV or marine place that had even heard of em let alone order one. The one or 2 places online that sold wanted a crazy amount of coin to ship it. In the end the price and praise for customer service...
Well I did more research and answered most of my questions about truck fridge, I pulled the trigger on a TF130 after taking some measurements it should fit almost perfect in the Norcolds place!
Good deal for the amount of space for sure 7 hundy shipped
Thanks for the Info that seems like a decent deal for the size. Do the truck fridge use a danfoss comp and how many amps? I couldn't see alot of info on the links. How long long have you had yours and hows it holding up? they want 100 bux for shipping on the 130 but only 50 for the 65.
Thanks!
I currently have a Norcold 3 way N300 80 qt fridge/freezer in my rig. Sometimes it works great with emphasis on sometimes. Lately it's been making a somewhat stinky smell too (needs burping??) Anyways I'm looking into a compressor style and want something that's upright and front loading. The...
It shouldn't create any problems for you like stated, you just wouldn't want to run more amps into smaller wire. Less amps into bigger wire is fine. When you do upgrade the converter, make sure all the existing wires are upgraded with it though.
I've never been hassled once, the headlights are DOT moto headlights so I'd think they are legal anyways, I'd put tail lights on the rear carrier like I do while you're at it too
Thanks! yes it does block the lights however I have an easy solution. Headlights on the moto carrier. They plug into a disconnect on the grill, go through a relay and end up at a switch on the dash.
We have BASS
Put this bad little bastard in today under the rear seats....800 watt powered sub. can't even tell it's there and sounds killer!
Made by planet audio worth every bit of 120 bux
Got 3 months worth of crud washed off today and took her for a drive in the hills, she feels great with the fox shocks and handles really nice. Still a bunch of little things to do but I just wanted to drive it now that she's back together again. Can't wait to get out of town in a couple weeks...
Thank ya kindly! Please steal away any ideas you want that's why I post it, lord knows I've pilfered many ideas from this forum. Anyone that's wanted to do this kinda of project on their rig I'd say go for it. If you have the time , patience and even modest skills like myself it's not that hard...
Thanks guys glad someones still watching!
I sorted out the camper mounts and went straight through the floor, I also end up adding a couple extra mounts for the bed to the frame. The truck had some big L shaped 5th wheel mounting points that sat about 4 inches under the new ute bed and outward...
Get a front hitch and bike carrier?? I carry 2 motos with my camper often, one off a rear and one off a front carrier, bicycles should be a piece of cake!
Got the spring mounts installed and tested today. I used valve springs from a Ford V10 and some big fat carriage bolts from a 5th wheel mount. This is my 1st test driving the rig all together after doing a few upgrades including new custom tuned shocks from Agile Off Road, DayStar air bag...
