I'll be back in Phoenix on Friday March 7th and Saturday the 8th for a conference. Can bring the fridge and slide if anyone is interested and wants to save a trip to Flag.
For the fridge, price dropped to $300, and for the slide, $250. Buy both for $500. Shipping will cost more, and I'll ship the slide, but not the fridge.
Decided to go for an underbody mount; really dont like stuff hanging off the side of the camper.
I installed some rivnuts to the bed, and I'll be able to access the regulator and connection if I need to replace any of them. All off the shelf stuff, so should be able to source parts from any ol...
I do this when my wife and I are camping, and when its just me too. I just hop up on the bed there is plenty of room to wriggle up to the push bar, and lift the front.
Thats just a damn good looking truck and camper. 5 years ago me would have bought this for my flyfishing rig and cruised to MT/WY/ID for a summer.
The camper is sweet too; love the large single door and simple build out.
Def GLWS man. Nice rig.
The only connection in the camper itself is at the heater, so I'll be mindful of that. And I will def get the detectors too. Appreciate the feedback/advice!
Just found this reading through random threads and really dig the work youre doing! I'm over towards U. Heights in Flagstaff and think I've seen your yellow K5 around town.
To add to the questions too....for those running a propane heater, are you running a solenoid too, or no? Seems to be a 50/50 opinion on the need to run one.
Alright all....coming back to the [hank hill voice]Propex and propex accessories[/hank hill voice]...
I've got the propex test fitted in the actual truck, and my original plan had been to have a project box that I could attach the hoses too, and unfurl the hose, stored in the project box, when...
Seat of the pants....or breeze of the pants, yes. I noticed it mainly on split level functions like defrost and feet, or chest and feet. It is also far quieter and is faster to spool up. If mine hadnt been squeaking, it wouldnt have been replaced, but there were some good Christmas deals from...
I got rid of a squeaking squirrel cage seen here, with the new TLC version...super easy project.
I relocated the factory rear camera with a super ghetto version:
I've got an 813 Fab bracket on the way...
So, after much research, if you use properly rated hose, UL 21CGA, with 3/8" ID for enough BTUs, you'll be fine. So, thats what I am going to do. I'll mount the regulator in a hobby box that can be sealed off from the elements, and a QD on the outside, and that should be good.
