2-door JK's don't have a B-pillar like the 4-door. The front edge of the top is different where it meets the front door.

Ways to Increase the Jeep JK Payload

I did a little more digging into this....... From what I can gather the J8 frame is hydroformed of thicker material than the stock JK frame even though the dimensions are much the same. There are also added reinforcements in key areas, mainly the front control arms attachment points. There are...

I think integrating the cage into the top would be difficult, but it could be totally worth it on a vehicle that didn't need to be converted back and forth. The JK cage is welded into the body however..... Changing the shape of the cage would probably be a good idea, but again.....it's all...

JK 4-door to 2-door long wheelbase conversion.....

I got to look over a JK 4-door last night. A few observations.... -Removing the rear doors and making a fill plate would be pretty dang easy. I think the fill plate would need to retain the factory style door seal to work correctly. Using a factory rear half door could make it REALLY easy if...

I think they are old enough to import now....at least the older versions. I don't want to go down that road however. I have a friend trying to import a 110 rover and is having a heck of a time.

2010+ dodge 2500 rear axle ABS question....

No VIN, I'm chasing a possible retrofit application for the new 2010+ Powerwagon axles. I basically need 4-wheel ABS sensors to cross over to the other platform and interface well. If someone has the last 8-digits from a 2010+ Powerwagon that we could use....... Edit: And thank you...

2010+ dodge 2500 rear axle ABS question....

only on the 2010+ trucks? 2500-3500 also? I'm fairly sure the 1500 trucks have 4 wheel sensors, but I am getting conflicting information on the 2500-3500. Thank you for the help.

Ways to Increase the Jeep JK Payload

I don't know, a coil fails and it only takes out the 'spring' function of the suspension. A leaf spring fails and you loose the 'spring' function AND the 'location' function...... I would like the see what they did on the T1 military version of the TJ. I'm pretty sure it had a 2000lb payload...

    Rango.....1942 Willys MB

Well, it still runs like crap, but it runs! I probably drove it around for about a little over an hour tonight. I also re-spooled the winch line under tension. I almost pulled my Dodge down the driveway....I didn't think that was possible with a small flat fender. The winch seems to work...

2010+ dodge 2500 rear axle ABS question....

Does anyone know if the 2010+ dodge 2500 rear axles still use just a tone ring on the ring gear for ABS? Or have they switched to independent sensors at both rear wheel hubs? Thanks.

JK 4-door to 2-door long wheelbase conversion.....

I would probably prototype the idea in aluminum at this point, then make a mold if it worked out well. Changing a few things in the aluminum version would be easy compared to in the mold/plug. Anyone know the weight of the factory hard top? I don't think they are THAT light anymore.

The Dometic cf-25 looks about the right size for me. http://www.smallspacesappliances.com/24quartdometicrefrigeratorfreexer.aspx Shove it over against the 'door' on the passenger side, sitting on the floor. It's only 10.2" wide. The flat floor shelf would have to be shortened a little bit...

JK 4-door to 2-door long wheelbase conversion.....

Nope, no boat builders here. I know a few river jet boat fabricators up north..... I do have to wonder if fiberglass is the best answer? I think an aluminum top if properly fabricated could be VERY cool. The JK is pretty boxy....but also doesn't really have a straight panel on it. Aluminum with...

    The Dakar Car

yup, pretty much, except custom made to fit in the JK so no space is wasted. I think having it be able to fit under a separate 'flat-floor' shelf would be the way to go. If you need the water tank add it, if you don't leave it out, still have a flat floor, and store other things that heavy...
