CUV or Wagon Sleeping \ Storage Platforms

That's a great idea, sliding out to use as a table! What to bring along as the legs...? Hmmm. Must have at least 2 uses ;) A folding chair that you could then sit in, too bulky. Highlift jack! ;) About those "12v coolers, I know they are cheap and easy to buy, but they are a great way to...

    LR3 Interior Spare Tire Mount

Not meant to be how it must have sounded..... I just HATE anything in the way, my way anyhow, of the tailgate like the hitch mounted things create. I even sort of hate how my swing away-s are in my way requiring at least 1 step to swing out, 2nd to make sure it's latched well, then to actually...

Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

I'd doubt that because using the GAP tool also raises it up more. About the caliper clearance, if it's close, then the type of LR3 wheel chosen could be the reason just as the manufacturing batch of the calipers. I have 4 sets of wheels and three different types. The oldest 5 spoke, the...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

COLE! Here you are lurking in the oddball section :smiley_drive: Just the other day I was telling someone who's E61 like mine got crunched to consider a previous generation Cayenne. He doesn't think it can handle like the E61. I told him he's never felt PDCC laugh at physics. I...

CUV or Wagon Sleeping \ Storage Platforms

Interesting. I sleep in my wagon all the time on solo trips but it's a lot longer I guess, and almost perfectly flat. These are two things I verify before buying a vehicle that I find just as important as comfort and ergonomics of driving seat position. All that work with plywood is cool but...

Spotted some testing diesel Rangies stateside

Because nothing else really performs as well as my 17" and 15" Macbook Pro or the two Mac Pro over years and years with simple interface. Same for the damn iphones. My macs are way more reliable than my rovers ;)

    LR3 Interior Spare Tire Mount

I don't blame you for not wanting 75 lbs on the roof or having to maneuver it off either. Although, lifting heavy things keeps us strong! I don't think the stock location requires "crawling under the truck" though. Drop all the way from inside, which it's very own ridiculous process, and it's...

    LR3 Interior Spare Tire Mount

So, go into such conditions off road that require big tire....put receiver on to hang tire, receiver that is like anchor with horrific departure angle, thus cannot go to places off road that require the big tire in the first place... If people could just be fine with the tiny 31.5" tire that...

    LR3 Interior Spare Tire Mount

I don't understand anyone who MUST have larger tires but aren't willing to install a swing away. Makes me think some people don't really NEED tires so large as to not fit underneath.

    LR3 Hitch Options?

ok, that's looking good to me so far. Would be a great choice for an off road trailer application. Ooh, here's a question now that I think I might like to get this thing, what is the distance from pin center to face of bumper? I'd like to know for comparing the change in front to rear...

    Mercedes G-Class Facelift - Official

^ I wish they'd figure out a durable bumper that could still allow the required air flow. All these new ones for the turbo engines look like I'd be worried everywhere I parked in a city that some Subaru would break it while parking... it's like wearing a nice watch on the outside cuff of body...

It doesn't allow for HD height adjusting hitches. Maybe it's an "American thing" ;)

    LR3 Hitch Options?

Hmm, with that bolted ball mount, this item isn't very versatile as seen in above photos. Will it be available at 2" receiver also rated that high? That's what I would want. In your photos you show a 2" but it's only about 3" deep at most. That's not going to cut it for heavy duty anything...

    LR3 Hitch Options?

The inevitable chipping it precisely why it must be galvanized. Powder coating will actually hold the moisture under it's tough skin and rust worse without you even seeing it. You said 200 lbs, but that's kind of nothing at all for serious towing. The hardware sounds better though.

    LX470 Lift Opinions

Exactly why are there no photos for a follow up ?????? Sounds cool. I'm interested because I had an 06 LC and would have done basically what you just did so I'd like to see what I missed out on ;) What did you decide with the AHC? Was it retained somehow in the OME lift? Would be a nice...

    Discovery 2 Rear Bumper Options?

some are really incredibly ugly.... is the front factory? Your sig says a winch but on what? Might look best to use same brand. Although I do like the Rovertyme stuff for functionality. For using as a small platform to organize gear though, or use my jetboil to make coffee or change...

Land Rover SVX models coming ?

Simple need bigger fender liner space. Like the Toyota Land Cruiser which could also use "more" space, but it can at least fit a 33" no problem in stock form or 35" after some minor mods, similar to what we do on an lr3/4 to barely fit a 32". "electronics" ? No, LESS electronics for systems...

Land Rover SVX models coming ?

If we were betting a batch of cookies, I would not bet we'll get anything that costs less than the current standard models. Meaning, an LR4 or 5 in "more off road oriented mode" will be at least $70k, not $50k, not less, no way, not in the US market. It's too bad but if you simply imagine...
