The Big O JKUR build thread

In theory, they should. Each is 96-105w x2 of them. Should be around 9000 theoretical lumens each. They're just a lot more directional so it's not quite as impressive of a spread as a light bar. I think both would be ideal. Someone like this in from of the winch and a slim 20" lightbar on your...

Just shy of my trucklite high beams. But I've since reaimed them. Theoretically the TruckLites should go farther since their reflected off a mirror. Mine are the 7" 105w (21x5w led) version.

The Australian guys who had both said they could barely tell s difference. Either way not worth 14x the cost.

Looks great. If anything mine are too spotty. If like a little more flood to them. Did you get the 7 or 9" ones?

Most stable Awning Question Re Weather

I've seen both styles break in medium wind conditions. I believe the hinge/pole attachment point on the foxwing is cast aluminum and the weak link. I no longer run an awning for that reason. I've started sticking a beach umbrella from Costco in my rear bumper swing out Instead. At least if it...

I've heard the 37s are more like 35.3" mounted. The upgrades you mention are the kind of thing I don't really want to get into. Axle housing, gears, brakes, steering components. 37s seem to be the slippery slope that 315s were on the Land Cruiser. The red Jeep in my Mojave picture has...

That's what I've been doing lately too. But that also sucks. iCloud would be nice but they also make you post it to a public website in order to link it. I was looking at smugmug but that's not free. But more importantly 35 or 37" BFG KO2s? Or some other 35" MT.

I have a feeling you're right. I plan to keep the stock wheels for now. But those Onyx Saltas and beadlock Mopars are nice.

Thanks for your chart! You know I love getting as into the weeds on this stuff as you do. So if I got new wheels, I could actually make the 37s weigh less than my proposed 35 plan. 255/75r17 BFG MT KM with Rubicon wheel and Spidertrax spacers: 81lbs per. 35x12.5r17 BFG AT KO2 with Rubicon...

That's my current thinking. Although none of us really need 37s. And I don't want to jump the shark or have tires remorse.

I planned a Utah Traverse trip for my ExPo crew but then couldn't go because my boss didn't want both of us on vacation at the same time. Guess which trip took priority ;) So a friend and I decided to finish the second half of the Mojave Road trip we started last January. He's an amazing wealth...

Nice set up. Anyone know what that spare tire rack system is? My recent trip to Death Valley to see the Superbloom.

Test image from lunch in Death Valley. I'm wondering if the forum has been kicking back images because they're too big to post. I tried to limit the width of this one to 800px.

We got back from checking out the Super Bloom in Death Valley this weekend. I happened across my old Lsnd Cruiser friend PaulGardner and family on the way to Furnace Creek and tagged along with him to Hole in the Wall and Echo Canyon. We lucked out on Saturday night and found a nice dispersed...

Haha. Gotta move to a new service. I got them on eBay. Search for 110w 7" LED light. (The ARBs are only 21x3w). There are some cheap $75 HID lights I see on there that'd probably be good for distance. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/181992163297
