Finally got these new lights mounted and wired up. I forgot what a pain wiring is. Made me rethink my OBA plans. I should probably go with something plug and play. We're heading to Death Valley this weekend to check out the #SuperBloom. First trip out with the new sleeping pads/bags, FauxTrax...
My album is shared. I don't understand what it's doing. If I go into the editor and inspect source and find the file url, that works.
I can never get the direct upload to work. And I used the Google editting tools a lot. Really bummed they're gone. The issue was that they only worked with...
Thanks!. If the foglights are any indication, my bumpers are from 2014. It had the updated cut out per Maximus-3's instructions. But it still required a good deal of cutting. Honestly I'd rather if have been the earlier version that you can cut out with a 1.75" hole saw. My cut is terrible...
I was supposed to go to Anza Borrego this weekend, but everyone in my 4x4 group (formerly a Land Cruiser group) bailed except for the two local guys. So I too bailed to stay home and finish up all these half finished Jeep projects.
I use Socal Tear Drops 5lb propane tank bracket and some...
I used this Rock Hard winch mount bumper for a few months but have switched bumpers. This mount works amazingly well and is very stout. I imagine it'd work with any bumper that retains the OEM tow hooks and allows access to the frame rail pockets.
It has some mud on it. But otherwise is in...
Agreed. Those look much more proportional with your lift. Although I'm running stock 32s on an AEV 2.5 (3") lift. So mine looks like your before. I'm curious to hear how it affects your gearing. You know that I like our stock wheels too. But I have to agree, the new onyx wheels look way better...
Can you post a side shot of each of you have it? I'm curious about this myself. The proportions of the 37s are better too. Tall and thinner looking. A lot of the 35x12.5s look too marshmallows for me.
Glad you didn't give up on your jeep yet. Hopefully these will get some good use!
I have a meet up overnight trip down to Anza Borrego this weekend to meet up with my off road club. But the Jeep is going to be missing a lot. I haven't had a chance to install the freshly painted winch into the new bumper. Or wire up the new lights. I could install the new lights but that seems...
Yeah. I'm going to run a tap through them too. A couple are mangling the bolts.
I'm impressed with the OEM engineering. I'm used to installing super heavy welded plate steel bumpers. Each of these things only weigha about 25lbs more than the plastic factory bumper it replaced.
Mopar steel...
Thanks guys. This all started because I got a set of these 7" ARB style LED lights. I was trying to mount them to my winch fairlead but it looked kind of goofy. And my winch line was getting faded.
The Maximus 3 winch plate and light brackets show up tomorrow.
The aluminum on my winch is...
True. Also, Paul tends to build his trucks in a very overland-centric-style befitting of the 200's larger footprint and payload. And I'm sure he misses his 100 ;)
It seems like yesterday that I was second in line to buy your 100. I guess I've done 2 builds since then also. My guess is Paul is getting a 200 or a new Tacoma.
I got this fairlead light mount because it's one of the few that allows the lights to be mounted farther apart than the 10" fairlead mounting bolts. I bought a new bumper this weekend and no longer need this. It's never been used or installed. Still in the box. Save yourself some tax and...
