There seems to be a lot of info out there but not what I am looking for, people aren't specific enough when posting... so here we go with the same question that has probably been asked and poorly answered 100x...
I'm looking at the Method 703 in 17x8.5" with 35mm offset and hoping to run a...
I'll agree with this.
I just picked up a used Flippac that's actually in good condition with no issues, no rot, tent is in good shape... it's just a mediocre design that was never built all that well to begin with. but for what I sold that 4WC for, I can deal with it.
I really like the build...
Earlier Sequoias feel much smaller than the later models. Later models have that 5.7 though. 4.7 is a great motor but the 5.7 beats the pants off of it, 400 lbs ft, 380 hp and no timing belt to deal with. Both will last forever. Both get terrible mileage.
FWIW I ran 5100s and the bushings wore out in a couple years. I doubt you will get another 186k out of anything other than factory OEM parts.
Interestingly Bilstein warrants their shocks for life (if I recall) but that warranty does not cover bushings and rubber parts.
Diesels built to meet American emissions laws are not worth the hassles of ownership in my opinion.
ZR2 is a great little rig I’ve considered but I would hands-down buy the NA gasser. Yes fuel goes further with a diesel but literally EVERYTHING else seems considerably more expensive over time...
18-20 bone stock 55MPH with a tail wind, downhill? Yes.
13-15 MPG at best is more realistic, especially if you start adding tires/lift/etc. Tundras are great trucks but make no mistake; they are pigs. Anyone claiming different is a liar or only drives downhill.
Also;
No Tundra comes with a...
I probably don't need to bother pointing this out, but cutting your bumper like that is a really bad idea. I hope you don't get into a wreck.
Also, if that ebay winch actually pulls 13,000 lbs of force (which I doubt) all you are going to do is rip that DIY mounting plate right out of your...
Interesting rig but the interior buildout looks rather useless. Tons of potential space inside yet it has a cheap RTT? "overland rig" is a bit of a stretch as it sits. Looks like a dealer got it cheap, bolted a few parts on and went for a quick flip $.
Well kept. First owner kept it in covered storage when not used until I purchased it in 2020.
2009 Grandby Shell
No modifications except for a battery operated smoke/CO detector, never been built out. Unmolested.
