    Truck Camper Roof Repair

Can’t really tell what is going on. Is the structure sound? Wood frame? Whole new tops are not cheap.

There are a lot of different GR motors.

Color of your popup tent camper and the heat?

Black will be noticeably hotter And have LESS resale to any reasonable person. A lot of folks seem to have a Batman complex about their vehicles, so maybe you are right, but I’d wager those folks don’t actually use their setups as often as they say they do. Personally I think black is the...

Speaking strictly objectively, it IS meant to... or it wouldn’t be rated that high ;)

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

Taco isn’t a small truck anymore. It used to be. The new taco feels the same size as my Dad’s 2000 Tundra. Truth is, small trucks are a thing of the past.

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

No truck relies on it's own brakes to stop a heavy trailer, and honestly no truck will be comfy, fast and feel nimble while towing at it's rated capacity. I towed 8,000 lbs worth of trailer with my 7.3 Super Duty once from CO to OH (half of it's rated capacity). That experience was not...

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

Agreed, why? A super duty will easily 2-3x it's own weight. How is 6,400 lbs too much for a 4500 lb truck, relatively speaking?

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

Between the two I would look hard at the new Bronco. Toyotas are great, I love them to death.. but a rig with a removable top that isn't a Jeep is pretty desirable IMO. Ford will likely cost you more in the long run but honestly how long are you actually going to keep it anyway?

    rtt vs slide in camper

Not to brag but I nabbed my 2009 Grandby shell for $6k. Denny up at 4WC Jackson was awesome and even installed it for me. It's a very clean one owner camper, I just happened to see it at the right time, but they are out there. I was looking at an AT Atlas but Jesus.. those are well over $15k...

Tundra - Transfer Flow 46 Gallon Tank - Wheelbase?

I'm trying to find out if the Transfer Flow tank will fit on my Regular Cab Long Bed. Can anyone confirm if the wheelbase of an RCLB is the same as an access cab with the 6.5' short-bed? It appears to be on Google searches... 145.7" for both. So my real question is; why wouldn't this tank...

    rtt vs slide in camper

Don’t forget; - Buying two batteries every time one fails (gotta replace them simultaneously, regardless) - Changing your clutch every time you get a topside oil leak (manuals anyway) - Changing your transmission tail housing every time you have the slightest driveshaft issue - I often had to...

    rtt vs slide in camper

Nice. Too bad they only come in soccer mom cabs now-a-days... I'd buy a new one if they offered a RCLB. Most of those guys do. They'll never admit it but they spend A LOT of time fixing ******** that really shouldn't break in the first place. I did it for 3 years. That truck left me stranded...

    rtt vs slide in camper

Single cab, 8' bed... the way a truck should be ;) I have not actually weighed it yet. With the accessories I have on I would guess closer to 5,600. Still more payload than my F250.

    rtt vs slide in camper

2,500? Not even close. Maybe in a 2WD F350 RC dually. The duallys had a higher GVWR if I recall... 9,900? My F250s door tag was 8,800 GVWR and the truck weighed a hair over 7,500 lbs with me in it, bed empty.. .so 1,300 lb payload. That 7.3 engine alone is like 1,000+ lbs. Loaded with a...

She rides a lot better with 840 lbs in the bed. The Grandby Shell is barely noticeable while driving. Pretty happy with this right off the bat!
