2nd Gen Montero Rear Locker Swap?

I have done this on my 95 LS. Swapped the rear and front for the blessings the SR had to offer. It's just and easy axle housing swap. Just remember to pull the air pump and drive shaft from host vehicle. Also, if you want it to look and act factory, pull the pump module and switch as well. (I...

    This made me giggle...

Wait a tick..... JKs have cv axles with boots? I've heard of solid axle swaps, but never an IFS swap....

LWB CB Radio Locations? WHERE did you put yours???

I put mine on the side of the center console. Passenger side mounted forward enough to allow seat movement and the bottom facing me. The mic is mounted on the side of the dash just to the right and up from the radio.

    Scrubber3's long overdue build thread

New winch installed thanks to my 2 year warranty. I'll keep this one wrapped up his time. Got another 2 years and 3 months added on the new one for free. 9000lb HF special. Initial investment was $250. Paid for itself, but sat too long in the weather. Pulled off my limb risers as one broke due...

    Scrubber3's long overdue build thread

Alright, since I'm back for a while this time, I'll have the chance to go on a few outings. Just gotta clean out the rig and get rid of the spiderwebs. Just a heads up though; if anyone is storing their older mitsu for over a month or so(in a humid environment) I'd recommend the damp-rid hanging...

    Mitsubishi Manual Locking Hubs Available

Also, if your rig is lifted or the torsion bars cranked, the cv axle boots will tear up much sooner. These release that. Trust me, if I say they held up to my putting them through the ringer, then they work very well.

    Mitsubishi Manual Locking Hubs Available

No additional parts needed unless you lose a snap ring. It's really simple to install. Take the old flanges off. Pull the snap ring off. Ready the new hubs by taking the outer caps off. Install the hubs paying careful attention to alignment. (It won't let you miss up) put snap ring back on...

I replaced the transfer case/ transmission sleeve, and one of the cv axle boots were busted. It was one or the other. The sleeve was worn a bit, but the cv axle could have let loose as well. Though pulling it apart showed no signs of damage. Forgot to mention, the front driveshaft is also...

I knew you were a builder. Encouragement is what I was attempting. Seriously, think about it..... That car. 400rwhp. Lots of pony owners will think something is wrong with their new rides. :). At the next light, tell them you think their is a strange noise coming out of their ride. They'll...

You know with the intercooler, exhaust, and port job you can get a custom tune and probably be near 260 or better at the RW. May need fuel upgrades, but if you go just right, you're talking even more hp. 300 isn't that far away. Those DSMs and the like can embarrass some very expensive sports...

Still wouldn't recommend them for service as they'll come up with random charges and won't follow book time. Over it, unless someone cares to see the invoice. Seriously, I don't care. I won't be back.

Nah. I fixed it. I won't go back. Now, this is my build thread and I'm done saying anything about them. I'm not worried about the money anyhow. I'm less stressed without dealing with it personally. Plus I've only been back in country a few weeks so...... Whatever, I've got bigger things. The...
