Nothing wrong with that man. You're building a specific type of rig. No need throwing paint on it that you will worry about when the tree limbs come a calling.
If you want to be able to drive the truck without it leaking all over the floor, just pull the heater hoses from the heater core via the fire wall. Take a piece of pipe at least 2 inches long and connect the 2 heater hoses together. It'll get you by until you replace the heater core.
I was a technician for years and even became a service manager. Shortly after my term in the Army. I am a fair person and understand how it works, but I know not to be unreasonable. I also know when to turn ************ at get the point across.
Thanks for the rally!
I'll give them a chance to rectify it because I don't want there one employee that worked on my rig to ruin anyone's opinion of them. Although for as much as they charged I feel awful having the knowledge that this is common practice for them even if they specialize in Toyota products. Next week...
Update on the problem. As it turns out, the local shop that I paid waaaay too much to R&R my transfer case and check for any other issues, decided not to go above and beyond whatsoever. They missed all three front diff mounts being obviously ripped and banging around. They didn't check the front...
Mine does the exact same thing. :(. But you already knew that. I'm thinking at some point a seal of sorts must have gone bad where the fresh air comes in. I bet there is someone out there that knows an easy fix.... We just have to find him. Maybe if it cools down and I get bored, I'll tear into...
I've tried pressurized water flowing both ways several times and mine still has an issue spitting out heat. I've added an electrical 12v auxiliary heater. Installed it in the middle floorboard area of the passenger side because it tends to be much colder on that side. Helps a little.
I used cb antenna mount made of stainless steel I got off of eBay. I forget the P#. It has 2 holes so I used the quarter panel screws and 2 self tapping screws. Short ones of course. They've been whacked and slapped by a good bit of brush and are holding perfectly fine. Does the job.
Check out my build thread. It may help you considering our vehicles WERE the same at one point. My bumper came from an XJ, but you will have to put in the time to get it on. It's not easy......
He did say something about the locker and gearing already on the Montero..... So I don't think tires are the game changer. Though I will say that based on my experience, a 33 inch tire can make a huge difference verses the 32 and 31. Especially considering the amount of contact you get when you...
Holy wow. Even has cable lifters. That'll get through a checkpoint.! Those tires look like they got all the weight they can stand though. If it had tractor trailer rims and tires, it'd be set. Nonetheless, awesome!
