Looks good man, I went through a can or two more than you though. I have never been accused of being a great painter... Plus I think my stuff is inferior to yours and therefore needed more. Since I used the walmart stuff, I have gone to using so great bed coating from tractor supply.
The Trooper is definitely a top notch rig. I saw that it and the Montero we very closely matched, but what got me on the Montero was the 9.5inch ring gear and 4.62 factory gear ratio. Plus they can be had with an air locker from the factory. I got the LS which didn't come with one stock, but I...
I was the same with my LSX powered cars. Needless to say, I haven't gotten any speeding tickets since I got the Montero and I can keep rear tires a lot longer as well.
That is how it is with mine, but I don't mind one bit. Matter of fact, I think it looks better raised up a bit. Gives the tires more room and gives it a greater approach angle. I just made sure to paint it all to match. What brand xj bumper is it?
I am not sure about the Trooper, but the Autos in the Mitsubishi are ASIN which means great quality. My 2nd Gen has almost 200,000 miles on it and it is still performing without any issues and I take it off road on steep trails often. I feel very secure knowing how reliable it is.The trooper may...
Just take the bumper off and toss it. Doesn't look bad without one. It'll give you initiative to get the one you want on there. I will tell you that installing mine wasn't fun at all, so if you go the route of getting one for a Cherokee be prepared to put in some hours.
As tough as the stock bumpers seem, once you get them off they are quite flimsy. Without knowing the front end issue, I'd say that its the bumper because the frame is incredibly strong. and only 4 bolts hold it on.
Those plugs had to have been replaced at some point. One of the previous owners of your rig must have replaced them with the NGKs so they knew what they were doing(or the tech that did it). Even iridium plugs would have crapped out way before 200,000 miles. IMHO the breather tubes are tucked in...
I was watching Ghost Rider 2 Vengeance at the movie theater the night before last and what did I see?:Wow1: I really nice Patrol that the ghost rider and his nemesis were on the hood of while it was heading down the road. Awesome scene and one bada55 rig. I know, I drive a Montero... I just...
Honestly, they do fine with pretty much whatever you want to use. Synthetic should last longer than mineral though. I switch mine out once a year so I use the cheap stuff. I change it so often due to the amount of water crossing I do.
