Your range and increments sound about right. Are you designing any sort of headache rack or barrier that ties into your floor mounts? Being able to keep things from flying forward during a panic stop would be awesome.

How is the current axle attached? Your options range from bigger tires to spacers between the axle and the leaf springs to replacing the axle with a new one. Pictures would help.

Well, I knew I was going to to be modding the Jeep heavily and so I did not buy a Rubicon. A regear, lockers, and possibly a new front axle are in the plans for next May or so. If a new axle is installed it will have manual locking hubs.

Marine plywood would be best. Otherwise, a plywood rated for exterior use that uses exterior glue. Treated plywood can leach chemicals which harm steel.
