    The ultimate cargo slide/tray?

Your range and increments sound about right. Are you designing any sort of headache rack or barrier that ties into your floor mounts? Being able to keep things from flying forward during a panic stop would be awesome.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

I'd want the two piece style. The main reason I've not gotten a soft top is that I don't want to mess with the rear window.

Looks great! How do you like having the parking brake on your axle?

1947 Teardrop: How do I get more clearance for dirt roads?

How is the current axle attached? Your options range from bigger tires to spacers between the axle and the leaf springs to replacing the axle with a new one. Pictures would help.

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

Well, I knew I was going to to be modding the Jeep heavily and so I did not buy a Rubicon. A regear, lockers, and possibly a new front axle are in the plans for next May or so. If a new axle is installed it will have manual locking hubs.

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

Reverse on the manual needs to be lower. I really dislike backing up an incline in 2hi, particularly with my trailer attached. I dislike it enough that I am looking for ways to be able to have a 2lo option on my Jeep. So far, I've found that either an Atlas transfer case or a new front axle with...

My Jeep FC170 (Forward Control) "Patina Rod" project

Look like you've got some built in A/C in the floorboards.... Seriously, that looks like a neat project. I like the attention to detail.

Two Person RTT, whats the best?

I've got both the Kukenam and the Ayer. If your dog is collie or springer sized then the Ayer will work well. Otherwise go for the Kukenam. One night my wife slept in the Ayer with our 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. It was a bit tight though. I think that the Tepui tents are well...

    Plywood ?

Marine plywood would be best. Otherwise, a plywood rated for exterior use that uses exterior glue. Treated plywood can leach chemicals which harm steel.

    Teardrop constructed by a cubist

Nicely done. I take it this is a primarily solo rig?

Tent trailer options for 2012 Rubicon

You could build one yourself. Here's my build thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/128420-Two-RTT-Trailer?p=1713799#post1713799 I've got about $5000 all in on my trailer and about 100 hours of work. Most of the money is in the components. The actual bones of the trailer are...

    Death Valley Family Thanksgiving Fun

It was lots of fun. She tries to wrap me, but you should see her with my Dad. She's the only granddaughter and the youngest grandchild. She has him wrapped tight.

    Death Valley Family Thanksgiving Fun

Monday, we broke camp and headed to Beatty, NV for fuel and a few odds and ends. Then Rhyolite. The kids enjoyed looking at the old buildings and seemed to like the Bottle House the best. Especially, the little model of the town. Shot from inside the vault at the jewelry store: As Katherine...

    Death Valley Family Thanksgiving Fun

My son, Truman, had the entire week of Thanksgiving free of school. I took some leave, packed the Jeep and my trailer, and took the family to Death Valley. Day 1. We left late and spent the day driving to Furnace Creek Campground. We almost didn't go because both my wife, Katherine, and...

I can hear the transmission a bit more, but it is not bothersome.

"Bruce" the 2014 Jeep JKUR Build Thread

I just installed the Bed Tred this weekend. So far, I'm happy with it. I have a boxer mix mutt whose brindle fur contrasts nicely with the stock black carpet and sticks worse than velcro. Fairly easy install. And pretty good fit.

No, really my 3.6 Pentastar has plenty of power. No need, whatsoever, to turn my Jeep over to AEV for a Hemi. Nope, none at all. Where's the taking a cold shower smilie when you need it?:) Looks great. I hope you have a blast with it.
