    What's wth those Disco's anyways?

Well started reading the posts but couldnt make it all the way through. But heres my 2 cents. Ive owned/own several rovers, a 66 rhd series, 89 RRC, 92 RRC, 94 D1, a 73 series coiler, and a 00 P38 Rangie. I prefer the Range Rover Classic myself (that is based on your requirements...I love my...

Should I buy a Range Rover?

I agree do your homework. I just bought a P38 myself for my wife. Its a 2000 and in near perfect shape. It was recently in the LR dealer down here per the carfax so I had them send me the service paperwork. The dealer said it needs a blend motor, a recir motor, a new tensioner pulley and a...

Do these new shoes make me look fat...

I like the look w/o the flares, but I got the feeling you are going to rub pretty bad when articulated. Not a D2 owner so I could be wrong but they look to be offset and fairly wide. A sazsaw and a set of aftermarket flares may be needed! Gordo

    Roll cages, your views

I would not worry about it Michele, you got the cage because you obviously need it and I dont think it will hurt anything if it is a bit stiffer. By the way, did you get the X cross for the inside of the truck. Those photos (completed ones) are were I got the idea for my truck and ran a cross...

Nice Karmann Ghia in the background of that roll cage shot. Ive had a few of those through the years. Just sold my 66 to finance my series hybrid project. Gordo.

Isnt that the truth Michele! One mod always leads to another. Cant wait to see the finished product. AFI your cage looks very stout! I was following PT's post on Pirate about the chop, looks like it is coming along. Gordo

Looks good. Im assuming the old ones are designed to be welded to the outrigger and the tube slides in? The new ones look like the SD ones that have the bolt through the body design feet that bolt to the mount. So I guess you would still have to weld a sleeve to the new mounts. Just curious as...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Heres a few of my RRC or what's left of it. The wheeling photo is one from its last run as a true RRC, that's the wife driving! Do you think she is trying to kill it... The yard shot is of it after said run. There was so much mud in the rad, we took the hood off, and it still ran hot. Luckily...

"The Hulk Gets Angry" aka stevenmd's RRC build

My brother in law has 33 x 13.50 TSLs on his rover. Im not sure how wide his rims are though, but it works out pretty good. The rims are GCRs I believe. I think they are 16s though not 15s but I could be wrong. That is a wide tire so the flares are a must! Have fun. Gordo.

Thanks Tyler! It really worked out well for my project. Just pulled it off this past weekend and did some more gusseting. I got paint on it today. Thanks again. Gordo.

Thanks guys. The truck is going to be a trail truck but Im hoping it will also be pretty driveable on the street. Id say Im just past 2/3 of the way done. The frame is an 89 Range Rover so I had to do some fabbing to make everything off the series fit. Just a couple things left to tidy up and...

First post. Heres a external cage Ive built on a 73 Series "hybrid" Im building. The cage is a shortened D90 external cage (bettaweld) in the rear, the front was built from DOM 1 3/4 .120 wall tube. The feet are all 1 3/4 DOM welded to 1/4 plate that bolt onto the rocksliders. The sliders are...
