Is the Queen mattress in RV's a luxury or bad marketing?

One further thing to ponder is whether to have 1 mattress or 2. I camp solo for about half of my trips so I bought 2 tri-fold mattresses (27" x 74"). I'm quite happy on mine and I enjoy the extra floor space. I have no idea what my wife does with hers when I leave it behind.

    Post your Camp Awnings

I camped with this set up a few weeks ago. It's a basic 6.5' x 6.5' awning with a 4 sided hub screen tent with a cot next to it. I did my cooking, etc. out of the cargo area with the tailgate for a bit of over head coverage. It was simple and comfortable.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

That works great! It's been a while since I've had the hatch panel off and I didn't pay much attention to the latch when did. It looks like it's pretty simple to add an interior release. Funny thing is that I have a small piece of tape there to assist when backing up my XJ to hitch up a...

Yes, I used ABS for the window vents, 2 sheets glued together with window screen in between. I also used fence trellis pieces from Home Depot to attach them to the top of the windows. I roll the windows down to about half way, place the parts on and then roll them up. I made rain gutters...

I sleep in the back of my XJ too and find it quite comfortable. I go in head first from the passenger's side. I had a 4 dr. years ago and liked it. I wasn't sure about camping with a 2 dr. but it's been great. I think I prefer it. I built a tire carrier since taking this pic. It freed...

    Latest Photo?

I've almost convinced my wife that if I have enough Jeeps I won't have to plow the driveway ... almost.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

I'm getting ready for this year's camping but also looking back at 2023 when I camped with 3 Jeeps and with 2 trailers and with no trailer. I did several solo trips, some with just my wife and I and others times with our tear drop group of 20 or so. It was a good year!

    Shovel / Axe Mount

I mounted my shovel and axe to to the tongue box on my trailer. The axe is locked to the box with a keyed bike lock. I drilled a 3/8" hole in the handle and the lock passes though it into a uni-strut 3/8" thread anchor plate. The shovel is secured by a pair of medical cart clamps I found...

    Ultimate camp shoe?

I wear these which are simple Ozark Trail slippers that I got at Walmart. They're great for in and out of my RTT & tear drop trailer. Also good for just sitting around in the morning before I get going. They have a rubber sole that is fairly waterproof. They're made of memory foam but I've...

Diesel Heater Ducting? What to use?

I'm curious about this too. Also, have you decided what kind of ports / ducts you will be attaching to your camper shell?

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

This was on a recent 2 night solo trip. This RTT is really only big enough for one so my wife refuses to go - lol. We also have a tear drop for the two of us.

    For sale in Ontario, Canada

I saw this in a FB Marketplace ad for pickup truck a few days ago. I've never heard of this before. I think both of these sellers will be sitting by their phones for a while. I wouldn't bother with either of them. "For our safety and yours as recommended by Ontario Ministry of...

Hunting Truck/Trailer Set ups geared towards hunting

I doubt anyone would still be interested in one of these but this is what I first camped in with my family back in the 60s. We didn't hunt in it but our NOMAD was designed so you could arrive, take the boat/top off and get to your destination by water. See the bottom right water shot in the ad.
