I'm a fan of RAM mounts myself... here's what I did on my FJC:

Used the cast aluminum mount and installed it from the backside of the dash panel for a clean look:

These are all well and good but the GPS I Have in mind is much larger than those I've seen. I currently have it mounted in my 02 4Runner like this....
