Well my buddy gave me a shout today and informed me my exhaust kit will be here in 2 days, but the cat delete/test pipe will be here when ever UPS gets around to it, that said,
For those that have installed a 4" cat back on a 6.0 powerstroke van, any helpful hints or tips?
Killing the kitty lowered my EGTs at least 200F on long grades. E350 van with 6.0PSD. 10,000 lb. But, with the loss of the restriction, I did lose some MPG. Also, running a 65rhp economy tune from Eric at Innovative Diesel and the Atlas40 FICM tune from PHP. I would never be running those mods in a van unless I had modified the exhaust.
I never heard of a diesel getting less MPG with less restriction...is that something to do with the 6.0?
