07 4Runner Build

This is probably one of my favorite 4runners! Very nice build...I bet you you love the power tank. I had one for my jeep but I sold it, wish I never did that. Im looking at possible running ARBs off a power tank set up, just because I want to try it.

Awesome looking rig.

Thanks guys. So far I love it. It's much faster than the MV50 compressor I was using and it's nice not needing to pop the hood to air up (my lights and bumper are a tight fit).

Ill probably be asking questions over the coming months. I dont know if you have seen my Intro thread, but I have decided the 4th gen 4 Runner is what I want to do for a Expedition Rig.

1st question, i have not seen any 4th gens with a snorkel. Are they not made for them?

I only know of one or two 4th gen's with a snorkel, and they needed custom work done to make them fit. IMO they still don't fit all that well.

A group of us on Toyota120 are trying to get a snorkel designed for the 4th gen via a thread here on ExPo. Last I heard, I think they got ahold of a US 4th gen for test fitting, so hopefully something comes out for us. If you haven't already, I recommend signing up on Toyota120.com. It's a 120 platform (4th gen 4runner mostly) specific forum so you can easily find anything you would ever want to know. I am Josh220 over there. Here's the thread:

You will be happy with your decision. I have buddies with Jeeps and they can't believe how much more comfortable it is to wheel in my rig compared to theirs. Feel free to ask me anything you need help with.

Nice runner HB
have you totalled up costs of the build itself meaning the cost of all the add-ons with out the cost of the rig itself? would be interesting to see. I showed the wife the new 4runner and she is going ape ******** over it. I think once her car is ready for sale that the runner will be coming home.

Cool thanks man!

If by the time I make it back to the states nothing comes of the snorkel thing. I actually know a manufacture that makes snorkels, I can speak to him and see what he thinks. If he sees a big customer base for him he would be more inclined to try it out. I would be willing to give him my vehicle for testing, a good friend of mine is a fabricator for him too so he could just it for me.

I will check out the 120 site. Im a complete yota newb so I am trying to learn as much as I can.

Yes I have. It's painful :Wow1::drool:

hahaha that bad huh? lol I might be better with the older rigs and a welder lol.
Really like your rig though, you have done a great job of bringing it all together

Duratracs

How have those Goodyear Duratracs been working out on and off road? Ive been thinking about getting a set. I've got BFG MTs on my Jeep now and want to get something that is a bit better on the road but still aggressive enough off road in the desert rocks and SOME mud.

So far they have done very well. I haven't had them in the snow yet, but in the dirt they perform great. All reviews that I have read on forums state the same thing: they absolutely spank the KM's, KM2's, and KO's in the snow. I can't wait to get them out next winter.

Gobi Stealth rack installed a couple months ago, just never got around to posting pictures.

Needed a way to organize all of my gear, so I designed my own drawers.

If anyone in SoCal is interested in something like this shoot me a PM. We would be happy to design/build anything you have in mind.

(Before the handles/latches but it shows the fridge slide)
