Wow, 2003 Subaru 2.5 engine, front, rear locker and decoupler. It's a great price for a very nice built Westy.

Yeah, gotta concur.....the sublime yet phenomenally capable Syncro Westfalia. What a fantastic Swiss Army knife of a vehicle.

Have you considered contacting Lucas at GoWesty? He paid me top price for my '89 Westy.

I do Appreciate that info thank you, but I seem to recall the guys at GW are not into Subaru engines. So Im not sure if it would even be worth the call.

GoWesty is very into Subaru engines. I think they swap in the 2.5 on any car they build themselves.

Pretty sure they sell rebuilt waterboxer type motors, but no Subaru or other conversions. They have a little write up on their motors on gowesty.com . Lots of other folks out their using the Subaru motors though. I am planning on doing the conversion to my '87 as well.
