1987 4Runner- Expedition Build Up.

I'm going to try that peel and seal stuff, I can buy it roll by roll until I get enough. No over buying, no under ordering and having to pay more for shipping. But its about 20cents more per square foot than the quiet crap. Going to the store in a few to pick up 3-4 rolls.

I used a combination of RAAMat and Peel & Seal on the inside of my 85 4 Runner - it worked ok, but it did not quiet my truck as much as I would have liked - I would not do it again.

So, I went and looked at the stuff at Lowes.... it was wayyyy to thin for me to consider wasting my time on. It looks like the quiet crap is a weiner?

I like the looks of that Quiet crap...
I've often wondered, how does a spray on or roll on bedliner work as sound deadener? Anywhere NEAR as well as Dynamat/ QuietCrap, etc?
Also, has anyone installed a quietcrap type product and laid, say, Herculiner over top?

I've been reading that the bedliner type stuff does not do anything for sound deadening........ And I hear that doing a bedliner over the top of sound deadening doesnt work, and vice versa.

although DynaMat (and I'm sure others) do have a spray on sound insulate - I wonder how close it is to rubberized undercoating? the main purpose of sound insulate is to add mass and thickness to metal panels so they don't transfer sound or reverberate (think like the old radio show "thunder storm" sound effects)

Iam not sure you can roll any type of bedliner over any of the foil backed sounddeaners. They might be too slick? If any one want to test this out I'll send them a 12x12 peice. -Mark

i may be wrong but i seem to think that peterson's 4hweel and off road put the spary on bed liner over a dynamat like material. i think it was in an old full size jeep truck. i cant remember specifics but it may be worth looking into.
