Wow, awesome truck. How much did it rain down there? Something like 5 inches all at once or what?

Thanks! And I wanna say it was 5 or 6 inches, all from about 3 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Broke a bunch of our local records! Here in a few hours its supposed to storm pretty hard again so tomorrow should be interesting.

Finally got some more done to the Lc today!
Bought two 5.5 inch LED bars online, got an amazing deal on them, water proof/ dirt proof aluminum cast case with mounting hardware for $23.99 each. From the same company I bought my 30 inch light bar from. 1,550 lumens.

Here's the site if any of you want to see what the have to offer, my 30 inch bar hasn't let me down yet.

I was looking around the rear bumper to see where I could mount them, it turns out the bottom bolt holding on the plastic corners of the bumper was right where I wanted to mount them, I removed the old bolt and the new hardware I received with the lights fit the hole!

I'm going to wire them into a new switch tomorrow to see what they look like at night, easy to adjust so I can aim them as I see fit. I can tilt them by adjusting one bolt and they tuck up and away towards the back of the bumper making them more discreet when i'm not out on a trail.
This may not be a permanent spot, I was thinking of making a bracket to put them further under the truck. Feel free to give suggestions!

Great thread! I've been doing some research on new tires and I'm was wondering if you got the Cooper Discoverer A/T3's? What's your impression after having them for a while?

DesertFZJ80 - would love to see the light output at night! I've got some old PIAA halogen lights about the same size mounted on the rear and sides of my INTI rack. I don't use them often, but did at Mountain Rendezvous recently to light up the campsite for a late arriver and the output was just horrible. Not what I remembered when first installed. Age, yellowing of the light, I don't know, but was very disappointed. Larry from Dirty Parts has some new LED ones that are out and very very bright, but uber $$$$$. These 'may' be a nice cheap alternative I can wire straight into existing wiring and PIAA light switches. I've not used them much, so cheap could be very good for my application.

Thanks! I have Cooper discoverer ATP's, they've been great so far, quiet and smooth on the street. I've driven through a lot of deep sand fully loaded without airing down and they did really well. The maroon land cruiser pictured earlier in the thread has the same tires, they use it on some pretty extreme trails around here and they don't have any complaints! I'll be going to Flagstaff in 3 weeks so I'll get to see how they do in the snow.
I think there is just a slight tread difference between the ATP and AT3. The ATP's look like they have a more aggressive sidewall in my opinion.

Hopefully I'll have them wired in the morning! A friend has the same lights on top of her families 80 series and they were BRIGHT. Much brighter than I expected, for the price you can't go wrong. I'll be sure to post some night time shots tomorrow asap.
I'm thinking one might be bright enough to illuminate the entire rear ground. Once I have an aux. battery set up I plan on getting some of the square pods for the roof rack to illuminate the sides to use while setting up camp or lighting the way for myself and the people behind me.

Where'd ya get that snorkel and how was the fit?

Some company off of ebay cause it was affordable, it fits really good, install was easy too, comes with a template so you can mark where to drill/ cut.
I think I payed $90.00 for it. It's been on for months now and hasn't faded or cracked.

Any chance of pics of the LED's in action?? Shoot - where in Phoenix. I've been working over there in N Scottsdale and will be there the week of January 5th and the week of January 18th. I could even be talked into bringing over the cruiser one of those weeks too!

Here's some pics! Sorry for the quality, Just got them wired last weekend and mounted my switches in a more discreet spot. Unfortunately the land cruiser is down and out at the moment! Left early monday morning for a trip to Flagstaff, made it over half way and had the front diff grenade about 110 miles from home, I have quite the write-up to post tomorrow!
