Hi all, I have a 2003 F-550 with a 20' single wheel conversion, bushwacker flares in the front, and a utility bed and a bigfoot camper - not sure my exact weight but my math seems to think I am in the neighborhood of 14,500 lbs ( 8000lbs [truck]+ 1000lbs[utility bed] + 3000lbs[camper]+ 1500lbs [stuff]). I do quite a bit of snow and dirt driving and am looking to replace my current tires after a blowout on the highway (uneventful, but not fun).
I'm currently running Nitto Exo Grappler LT325 60 R20 that have a 3,750 weight rating, clearly that seems to be cutting it a bit close with my truck although they did last a bit.
I'm not opposed to lifting the truck a bit but would rather not lift it too much. I was looking at the Continental MPT 81 275/80R20 but was told they require a 9in wide rim - unfortunately my rims are 10in. So the next size up would be the 335/80R 20 - which I think require a 4in+ lift and have a burly 6779 Lbs max load rating. Just wanted to see if there was an option that's got like a 4500 lbs rating and would likely fit my truck with something like a 2in lift.
Thanks for any help!
