2003 Montero Replacement headlights

The question I have is about replacement headlight. Not factory one's but the aftermarket ones you see on amazon or ebay. How well do they work?

Mine are the faded ones and I have one with a crack so I have to replace it. Just need to now if they work and how bright are they. Mine cant see 50 feet in front of me and I will be driving from Houston to Anchorage in 2 months.

Can't speak to the aftermarket ones. Maybe one of the Pajero or Facebook groups may know?

You could try looking on eBay or parts yards for a replacement.
Luso Overland has a vehicle that they are parting out.

For all others with stock headlamps that are dim.
Headlight restoration kit - Nearly any one will work, but look for one with a UV protector/sealer as the final step. This will help fade.
Also use PHILIPS 9003MD bulbs. I got a pair from Rock Auto. Much brighter than stock.

I have found that Autosol works pretty amazingly on the plastic headlights. 1 tube will last many lifetimes. Expect to do it every year or 2, but after the first time it only takes a couple minutes.

I bet if you finished with a UV sealer or blocker step, it would probably last longer between polishing as well.

Autosol is less work on the second coat then applying wax. Plus a lifetime supply is under $8 delivered (Prime). I tried the UV block on another vehicle and it didn't really do much for time extension.
