EDIT - this was pulled from ebay (the emergency lights/siren still being functional violates some sort of ebay rule) but the seller has listed it directly on expo.

Wow.

Am I right in thinking that this one cannot be registered in CA because it is over 26k GVWR? The way I read the regs it would have to have a particulate filter retrofitted to register, and the motor replaced by 2021?

Of course, if you convert it to an RV that's a different story, but I think you would have to do that before you brought it in state.

(Have a friend in CA considering a mog so have just been keeping an eye out. Those CA laws are screwy!)

Also, unless/until converted to an RV, I'm thinking you'd need a Commercial Driver's License from your state; the requirement is triggered at 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, I believe.

Some U500s are 26,000 pounds GVWR. I've no idea if derating a 33K unit to 26K is practical or whether your state DMV would be influenced.

I expect it would not be a simple process, if possible at all.
