I'm on the 2 year waiting plan as well. Hopefully a Diesel arrives before then. If not I'm getting a JDM import cruiser. I would rather buy something left hand drive though!

Diesel for me all the way! I really like the rig though 4 doors and a removeable top! :sport_box

SERIOUSLY crossing fingers for a diesel. Don't yet know if diesel will be a deal breaker or not, but REALLY want to see that feature.

That black photochop looks really, really sweet.

wow, with the top on it looks like an H3 -- or visa versa. That picture of the black/diesel is pretty cool. Hummer rims are pretty heavy, I'm sure there are alot of better ones out there...though maybe not 2 piece?

I like the blac and the red renditions you guys have put together with the Rescue wheels. I do think it looks much better with the top off though. I still like it, but I will only love it if it comes with a diesel.

Soft top does look better, but no top still looks best. But, both tops would still be nice to have, along withthe CRD.

Are you hearing us Daimler/Chrysler?? Give us the diesel!!!!!!!!!

Where is crying stomping feet smile when you need it:D

Just an update, production of the TJ has ceased a little while ago, and production of the JK Unlimited (four door) has commenced. Folks are starting to place their orders.

This information was posted by Don-A-Vee.

A forthcoming option that is not immediately available is a Nav Radio w/ a 20 gig HD called MyGiG. Very interesting! :)

They're starting to show up at Jeep Jamborees for testing - or whatever it is that they do with mules at these events.

I am watching this with extreme interest, because I need a more family friendly replacement for my Wrangler, and no matter how many 80's and Taco's or F-250's I dream about, I keep on coming back to the JK as probably the best choice for me for several reasons. Those prices look really nice. That nav system looks awesome too. Wonder if when it is available if it can be had on an otherwise basic Wrangler Rubi. No power windows for me. All I want is a Rubi with 4 doors, 6 gears, 20 gig worth of maps and a full tank of gas.:D

I had the chance to play around with one last week.

I really like the thing. Jeep products are starting to reflect the Benz design and quality. Interior is simple, with great ergonomics. Front seats are very comfy, with side impact options. Loads of rear seat room with cool rear doors.

I can certainly notice the increased room, with a wider console and room to sit five in the rear.

Longer control arms and much heavier steering components. V6 allows lots of room in the engine bay.

I have STRONG positive feelings about this model. It just might be the FZJ80 of this decade (yes, really).

Oh, no pictures... sorry

Hello Scott,
Did you get to drive the new 4 door. If so how was the V6. I can't decide if I should order one or wait for a possible different engine maybe late in 07?

No, I could not drive it, and it was a mule too, so fit and finish was as expected.

The most surprising thing was that it did not look too big, and had great visibility. I really think it is a great evolution of the Wrangler.

They just need to slap in that 3.0L V6 Diesel...

Justin,

I'm not sure what engine you would be waiting for, I think you have one choice. My dreams of the 3.7/4.7 v6/v8 family going in this model disappeared and CA won't see a diesel version until at least 2009 when we have low sulfer diesel here.

I hope this vehicle is well made and successful, I really do. Stuff keeps falling off my Liberty and it only has 30,000 mi:yikes: My wife keeps saying she'll never get another Jeep and I'm like "but honey, don't say NEVER", hey, you never know what they might build:p

I certainly like the styling and 4 real doors better than the FJ Cruiser though!

I guess the good news is I won't be in the market for a while so I don't have to choose;)
