I know GM gets away with it and don't want to state the obvious, but how can we have a `full-size' truck without a strong solid front axle, I'll never know. I bet this baby's gonna be heavy and I foresee broken front diffs...

Drivers side front diff and t-case. That's going to make it prohibitably difficult to swap the 5.7 and 6spd auto into my 100 series. Oh well...

Most of the 200,000 trucks per year will be 2wd...

The rest will not be heavily off roaded, except for a few;)

Look at your 100 series. It's basically a 3/4 ton platform. Now imagine everything is a bit bigger:p


With the Tacoma, the drivetrain is a bit oversized. With the first Tundra, the drivetrain was a bit undersized. Hopefully, the new Tundra will be on the oversized size!
