2011 Ford E350 4x4 cutaway chassis 138" wheelbase flatbed
TLDR: This was a former ambulance with its box removed, a cab back installed and a makeshift plywood flatbed. It has been converted to 4x4 and it is a good running truck
More details 211,788 miles 6.8 V10 gas, 5 speed auto I’m certain that the ambulance company that maintained this rebuilt the engine and transmission at least once.
40 gallon fuel tank
Dual alternators, only one in service, heavy duty wiring and power posts on the frame
I purchased the chassis from Arrow Manufacturing in Rock Rapids, Iowa. With 204K miles
Installed Cabback.com cab back and CRLaurence rear slide window, Bushwacker front flares, custom rear flexi flares, ambo running boards, Oxford white Raptor liner on cab
Black raptor liner on bumper/grill Custom rear bumper with integral LED taillights, receiver hitch was new/added
“MG Metalworks” 4x4 kit, allows installation of 05 and up F250-350 Dana 60 axle Front
2015 F250 Dana 60 axle 3.73 ratio, manual hubs
Rear 2009 Sterling 10.5", 3.73 ratio, Ujoint install kit, rear lift blocks, Fox 2.0 shocks
Numerous new parts and pieces including front springs, calipers, wheel bearings, seals, lines, hoses, etc.
Wheels: Procomp 17x8 8x170mm WP
Tires: Toyo Open Country At2 Extreme 285/75/17 6000ish miles, No spare
Downsides: Some rocker and driver side floorboard rust Cracked front windshield, not in driver view Dash lights, Emissions/gas cap light- Could be just the gas cap, could be the relocation of the evap canister? E-brake- The ebrake lines at the rear axle and pedal mechanism need to be fixed or go with a line lock, the bed is made of plywood and most of the paint has peeled, the spaces in the cargo doors are useful and has a pass through that can hold a 6’ ladder. It could use some TLC, or just tossed for your bed/box preference. It is not meant to haul heavy loads and has no tie downs.
The good: Again, it is a good running truck, it does not drip oil. Cold AC! I had purchased this as a work truck to haul trailers for my business specifically with plans to put a box on the back and turn into it into an “overlanding” RV in the future. I purchased a new box truck so I have no future plans for this. The VUCK (van truck) has a lot of options/ potential and deserves to be with someone that has the idea, time and skills to do it.
