That is excellent news. I'm planning on moving up to a 2nd gen Frontier, and I'm thinking the 265/75R16 is the way to go. I'll probably be using the same bumper and suspension as you too.

I ended up getting an 11 prox 4door, all stock.
I put a bed rack for my RTT. my MPG dropped from 19/20 to 16.

I am getting a trailer this summer.

I have already pulled out both rear seats, room for the dog and the fridge. after I get the trailer I have got to get a bed shell. I dont know if I want a hard side like yours or softtopper. both have ups and downs. after all that is squared away then I am going to address a bumper and suspension. I want to stay as stock as possible, so far the stock suspension has been good, even when loaded. I do really want a bumper for the insurance factor. Ill address the tires as soon as mine are worn down enough to justify replacing.

how was the wind noise with it sticking up like that?

Honestly the wind hasnt been that bad, but I am really wondering if I might want to see if I can put them in the back somewhere, to maintain a lower profile. On an off topic, if I had to do it all over again, I would have gone with maxtrax, if anything for the smaller form factor. 2 pairs of treds is rather bulky.

If you have anyquestions let me know!

The main reason I went with hard shell was for security, if you dont need that then a soft shell will be fine. I also just picked up a trailer, what are you getting?

Just a note about your battery issue, check the cables on the battery, the stock terminals are crap and loosen over time and will lead to random no starts. I'd recommend replacing the terminals with higher quality marine terminals, they make some that will bolt right up to the stock positive fuses and the negative can be crimped

Thanks for the idea, I will definatly check that out. But yes, when I got home I took some terminal brushes to it, and it hasnt been an issue except for that once instance. I do like the idea of using marine terminals. When I get around to it, I want to install a nice accesory fuse block so I can run my lights and soon to be compressor off that, so its a little cleaner install.

How are you liking the OME lift still?

Im still torn on doing this or a longer travel lift like a radflo with UCA's....I love the completeness and simplicity of the OME, but wouldn't mind a little more wheel travel and a smidge extra lift....

I love the ride of the Ome and would do it the same again. Ask yourself if you really need rebuildable race suspension and if the additional lift is really worth he accelerated wear on drive train components.

Decided on "go big".... when I build the truck this winter it will get 2.5" remote resi's and custom Alcan rear leafs. As much as I liked the OME on my Jeep, the 1.5" of lift from OME for the X just isn't enough for what I'm trying to get out of the truck.

This may sound odd, but I would greatly appreciate some pics of the truck on a level surface. I'm planning on going with the same suspension and bumper. Different winch, but weight will be similar. I'd really like to see how the whole things sits.
