2012 LR4 Build Thread

I actually use rods and GAP together, just in the opposite direction. I put the rods in then recalibrated back down to run as close to the original normal ride height as possible. Then set up a memory slot on GAP for off-roading at the height that the rods would do normally without the recalibration.

That's basically what I was doing with my LLAMS device. I left it in 'neutral' with no height change but ran rods full-time. When I was going to be doing some extended highway running I'd click to the lower setting (30mm down? I forget) for reduced drag. it seemed to give a small mileage increase but it may have been wishful thinking.

Thanks for all the comments and info. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get the GAP tool as well. Lots of good reasons to have it anyway other than for lift.
We are working on getting the wheels and tires on and making a few adjustments so there will be no rubbing when the 33 inch tire is stuffed into the wheel well.
A photo of how it looks so far.

Switch out your tires?

Your roof rack looks different than picks on FRs website.

I run the green oval rods which allows me to run stock height/settings until I need a lift. It does require manually moving the rods into the "lift" position which takes about 3-5 min at the trail head but since our LR4 is my wife's DD it works for us.

Those are the stock tires and wheels. We have been working on trimming the front wheels wells to get those 33s in there.
They are one now. I'll post some photos tomorrow. What part of the rack looks different?
