How do you like the AEV tire carrier with your stock bumper? I'm thinking of doing the same thing when I get my Hard Rock. I was originally looking at the LoD rear bumper, but this may make more sense.

So far the 10th anniversary bumper with the AEV tire carrier has been a great combo. It came with a hole for the AEV tire carrier - so if you are planning to do the install yourself that's a definite plus. I do not think the stock JK bumper comes that way. If my Jeep hadn't come with the 10th anniversary bumper I would have probably gone with the AEV bumper.

Springtail Solutions MPAC tailgate table

I installed my Springtail Solutions MPAC tailgate table today. Whole thing took about 20 minutes. The table is rock solid and fits perfectly even with my ARB drawers and factory subwoofer. The table has Molle attachment points and the combo came with two bags. Even better - no rattles!

I ended up moving mine about an inch or so to the left. I didn't like how it didn't sit flat on the tail gate. Seems like they would have updated the design by now? Hey, I didn't get any stickers either! haha

Dammit! I didn't notice that before. I'm either going to have to pop in some rivnuts and move it or seek therapy to convince me that it's ok. Rivnuts are cheaper.

I ended up drilling a couple extra mounting holes in mine to make it line up with the vents those little plastic anchors go into. I think you can see the holes in my build thread?

Shower progress

I further upgraded the shower today. Went from a 1 gpm pump to a 3 gpm pump which should give me a little more pressure. I also went from a 1/4" ID pickup tube to 3/8" ID pickup tube and 1/2" ID hoses. Finally, I upgraded the quick connect fittings and grommets to finish it off. Next up is to cut up some old wetsuits to sew together an insulating cover. Warm post surf showers are around the corner.

Love the progress man! Great looking Jeep. I'm going a similar direction with mine...2.5" w/ 35" KO's

Let me know if you still have that Anvil trail rack and what you want for it. Might have a need for one myself :)

Thanks Rippin AV. I was able to sell the trail rack here locally. PM if you have questions on lifts. I spent a lot of time researching and going back and forth on brand, lift height and tire combos.

I was out near Ocotillo. I'm trying to figure out a weekend trip for this upcoming weekend. I can't decide whether to use one of the last remaining chances to head to the desert before it gets too hot or to head up 395 to the eastern Sierra.

How was the cactus bloom when you were out?
So much to explore, and so few weekends to make that happen...
I'm looking forward to getting up into the higher Sierras this summer.
