Nope. This was a regular cab swap. Kept rear 4link with mile lift. Searching on my phone hasn't found much yet.

Edit: Also kept it IFS. I think it was a DD build.

Ok thanks...don't kill yourself looking tho'.

Considering I was in surgery 12 hours ago to repair my arm after a 4wheeler incident on Saturday, web surfing is the safest thing I could be doing right now.

In that case the E-parking brake is a big win though it comes with added chances of mechanical failure but that risk is far less than everyday having the car hardly held in place LOL.

When it's my butt slung out there, no thanks, I'll take the good, old fashioned 11" drum parking brakes that I know work and will until I release them. If a person is too lazy to keep their parking brake working well, not my problem. I don't want to have to fight 50 decisions by a computer and rely on a battery to hold my truck in place.

Heck, just one wheel (and one rear spring pack if you look closely) is all you need. Yeah, and a stack of spares. :) I know, I know, not the typical use of trucks anymore.

Belt and suspenders.

Probably should do an anchor, chocks can fail, too. I'd carry a pair of the rubber semi ones. They seem pretty solid. The metal folding ones I have, I dunno.

Don't tell me that had the 3L v6. I had that engine in the 91 4runner man what a pos. After the second ground up rebuild by Toyota I dumped it.

I don't trust parking-brakes in general. I even chock a wheel in my driveway.

Parking brake on my wife's 10 4runner is just as strong as my 06 tundra... And i want it on my Tacoma to replace the line-lock. Remember, piggish 80's and 100's and 200's use the same design.

As emergency brake? That *may*'be different, but its still limited to the force one can use to actuate.

Dunno, never owned a 3.0L, but there are still a ton running around. Apparently the whole borrowed time before explosion thing hasn't caught up to them. The newest ones are 20 years old this year.

Ha! :)

It is an old construction habit...well, with manual trans vehicles. I should pick up some of those rubber ones...I use a chunk off an old 8X8" post that I split at a 45º angle.

Don't feel the need with the auto Trooper.

From what I understand is, if you replace the heads with aftermarket versions...you're good. I am finding clean 90's 3.0's pick-ups every now and then for around $5-7K...even if the engine does go belly up, new engine isn't really that much coin to replace.

This was you...wasn't it? :D

I am finding some conversions if I search for HiLux and Surf conversion. This doesn't look like a daily driver, minimal lift to me though...

Dang clutch that was funny. Looks like he was on a stock Polaris, not like it would have helped if it was a full on race machine. I think the two brain cells he had before are now gone!!
