Along with all the rest of this build, your tire cover is awesome!
Are you going to have them do another one for the big tires?

Thanks Scott...
No on the tire cover. At least, I'm thinking no right now. Those Hutchinson rock monsters are pretty nice looking all by themselves. Can't imagine having a canvas that big back ther :)
Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you're all having a great time with friends and family, and you all get just what you want in the morning too! Take care....

Theyre done. Took about 15 min a tire. I know I'm gonna hate trying to disassemble them after a year or two on there. Thought I ordered a fifth tire...woops. :) just did.

Wow! that was pretty quick!
I wonder how much of a PITA it would be to just carry a spare tire, sans rim. Sure would be a lot lighter to work with in the field.
Hey Scott, yeah it was pretty quick. Found a great YouTube video on mounting these up ( http://youtu.be/VFrufmhbTvs ) and after watching it a few times got the first one done in like, 20 min. The rest just flew together while watching tv in the living room :)
The spare tire makes sense from a practical point of view, I think, but in reality, unseating these things is apparently a giant PITA. ( my limited experience can vouch for this when I realized I forgot to add the O ring to one!...took me 25 minutes to get one side open enough to slide the rubber ring around the bolts and seat it...I couldn't fully remove the outer ring. I think I need spoons or something?)
So, yeah.... technically field serviceable and the reality of these are two different things! :)
As an aside, after speaking with the guys at Clayton, it looks like I'm about a month away on the outside for the custom long arms...bummer, but I just got two emails indicating that all of the lighting should be here by Wednesday of next week....so things are really coming together now! The lighting setup is a little crazy, but man, I'm just having too much fun with this build to reel it in now! :)

Big shout out to Central Mass Powdercoat in Clinton. Just brought the Brawler Rockers home and inspected the job. Flawless....no messed up spots anywhere...edges, bolt holes...perfect. Thanks guys (and Meaghan  ).
0 degrees is just too cold to futz around in the garage with nutserts etc, but will get em on soon...
