I forgot to mention. It's been a progression like anything else in life. We did tents just the wife and I when in our early 20s, and slowly added to what we have. I still have all my old lanterns and Coleman stoves, hell I even still have an old canvas tent we used for about 8yrs. But they are just relics now that only get used occasionally. We've tried to add comfort and ease of use every outing. And just sprinkle in what we like.

We arrived back from our little family vacation late last night. Was a fun time, and we have for sure outgrown the RTT and Annex. The boys are getting old enough to where they want to take over the RTT, so we took over the annex. We all sleep good with the AC on etc, but mama wants a bit more privacy and room to grow. I can understand that, so we will be selling the trailer soon, and looking into a UEV-490. She really likes the setup they provide, especially the private shower/potty.

We stayed at a little ranch camp right on the river. It was fairly private, and there wasn't much foot traffic at all. Lots of places to swim and relax. Was strange not having to worry about solar panel alignment, or dealing with power management. And was nice having shore water etc. Didn't have a worry in the world.

So... Here was camp, along with the kitchen setup. Most of our stuff is old, and has been well used, but works. My wife have enjoyed camping together for over 18 years, so some of it has been around for a long time. I just fix or replace what gets broken.

Here are some pics of some of the swimming holes and birds. I love all the birds here, wish I would have brought my Nikon. The boys LOVED the rope swing.

That is a great looking spot. I like how wide the river is there. I would love to know where it is at if you don't mind sharing. If you don't want a lot of people to see it just PM me.

I love your old equipment. I have a lantern that is older than I am. I saw someone selling it on craigslist and decided to pick it up. I have a Coleman stove as well but not as old as yours. Like you, I just repair it if something breaks to keep it going. It works so I change it.

Took the truck on some trails in Oklahoma. Lots of them from the onX app that I wanted to try out near and in the Ouachita National Forest. Beautiful area.

I ran into this bridge that was cut in half in the middle of the lake that seemed a perfect place for some pics. ?

Ended up spending the night about 5 miles from that bridge on a lake just south of it.

I spent alot of time driving the trails in the national forest. And none of them were difficult at all. About a 3. I'll definitely go back and explore even deeper in the future.

Now you are in my country. All the mountain ranges there and in AR have great trails. Beavers bend is one of my favorite places.

It's on the Guadalupe River in Texas just south of the dam. You have to be ready for the water temp however. It's in the upper 40s right were it comes out of the lower dam. Even during 100+ degree temps.

We REALLY enjoyed New Mexico. I had to go around blocked areas in quite a few placed, but even so we had a blast. There wasn't a place that wasn't beautiful in the entire state.

Agreed. I've only used my lanterns, but that's mainly when flounder gigging. The stoves have been a few years.

That's funny, same here with the lanterns. They have the handles and foil inside to reflect the light out when floundering on foot. One of my stoves was my fathers and the other my great uncles, one is a 60's build and the other from the early 70's.

I have one I bought in 98, I think, and the used on I bought. Neither of mine have been used for flounder, in fact, at least the one I bought new, have never been to the coast.
