Pics are up on page1!
Hoping March or early April '22.
Changes from Mario's prototype; I've heard about a few small changes here and there but nothing significant. I read on IG that their Aterra XL ver2.0 will have taller sides (for more headroom in bed I assume?), which will allow the dinette windows to be raised above the cushions. We would have liked the windows to be positioned higher than they are, but there must have been a reason for this initially. Still a lot of light with 3 big TernOverland windows downstairs, plus the enclosed window in the TO door, plus the 2 clerestory TO windows.
Pics of the TransferFlow 60gal on pg1. Overall height; 83"OAH for the camper + current flatbed deck height (I need to measure) + ~2.5" Carli lift + ~2" lift going from 33s to 37s....I'll get back to you on this.
Regarding RegularCab vs SuperCab vs CrewCab; for us it was a lack of pass-thru to the camper/cabin wouldn't allow us to retain a RC. If it was just us, we could have stayed with our old RC (there's actually a decent amount of room behind the rear seats for some coats/widgets; nothing too deep). Or a SC would have netted us extra storage space for more personal items. But the CC is excellent for the dogs, excellent for lots of personal storage or items that need to be close at hand, and excellent if we have more than 2 people. I definitely see why CC's and short beds are the rage right now for people who use their truck more like a big car; thanks to the easy fold-up rear seat, the rear seat area swallows up people/dogs/small farm animals/equipment--it's really impressive, and very modular in that way.
Per my HPI notes, looks like 91" bed length. I'll measure to triple confirm. So what is the bed length?
Thx!What a great setup. Do you have a rough estimate on when the AterraXL will be ready? Being #001 any changes in the design or equipment from the prototype? Congrats on getting that additional fuel tank installed. Can you share some photos of the install? Do you have a rough estimate of what your overall height will be once fully built?
