It's not published to my recollection. There is YT video of Arnold at Flagstaff I think a few years ago where he talks about the destructive testing that have done on the panels. When you look at the options, one of which is a full size 35 - 37 inch spare tire on the back you can hang a lot of weight on those panels. I would say you would max out your rear axle rating with the sum of the camper and typical supplies onboard plus weight on the panels before maxing out any theoretical weight limit on those molle panels.

Best answer, call or write Arnold at OEV.

We added it to our Camp-x. We had to remove the handle from the hinge. It wasn't a bit deal because we had already installed a strap for closing it. I think it raises the mattress 3 inches.

Thanks! Yeah, I had folks mention that as an issue without the storage (the handle hitting bedding) so it concerned me a little. I really think we are going to want/need the underbed storage if find a unit that meets out needs, so I was curious to hear others experiences.

I was opposed to it but it was on my wife's must have list. It is worth every penny. It took less than 2 hours to unbox and install with a power rivet tool. It's a lot of rivets.Screenshot_20241217-100235.png

Same here... kind of a "wifey want" LOL. We are not tall people, so I was not concerned with the lowered head height in bed, but being the one that will most likely always be raising & lowering the roof, I don't want problems with that process if I can help it.
Also... I covet that rivet tool!! I wanted wanted to splurge on one so bad when I built my Alu-cab, maybe now... ha ha

The under bed storage is great. It also helps keep it dryer under the mattress. I'm 5'9" and the wife is 5'7". We can kind of sit up. Either way I would recommend a strap to close the camper.

Any excuse to buy more tools! It was well over 100 rivets.

Ever camper sink I've ever used has a slight downward indentation where the drain sits. And then the drain itself, it sits perfectly flush with the surface of this sink indentation. The end result is that, even if you're parked at a slight angle, the sink drains dry.

Now on my 2021 CampX, the sink drain is absolutely terrible. The drain sits proud 6 or 7 millimeters of the perfectly flat, un-indented sink bottom. Even if I manage to park perfectly flat, I still have to play with the water with both hands to get it down the drain. The sink pretty much always has a few mm of standing water in it.

This can't possibly be the stock drain? I bought the camper used. Does anyone else have this problem? What ever shall I do?

Here is a short video of the problem, if this forum actually lets me do that.

I picked up my Battle Born GC3 Heated battery this week and finally had time to install it today.

Tight squeeze, but managed to just fit. 270Ah should be more than enough for what we need. I'm interested in seeing how the REDARC solar system with the single 200W panel does.

@MisterSmith I’ve been wondering if the GC3 would fit in the stock battery box, and I just stumbled across your post where you managed to do it! Can you confirm what year your OEV is? I have a 2021 “CampX” 6.85.

If you have any more photos or details on getting the GC3 into that battery box, I’d love to see them!

That's the way my sink is too, it's been mentioned a few times, but I don't think anyone has come up with a solution. I just soak up the excess water with a dish rag. There's a better faucet that several of us have used to replace the original. It gives better control of mixing hot and cold.

My CAMP-X is a 2022, it should be the same battery drawer as your 2021. I don't have many pics from the installation. The GC3 will fit, I strapped it to the battery drawer to keep it from moving up and down and cut a few pieces of wood to fit the front and side so it won't move left to right. You will need to connect the negative wire of the battery before sliding it in as access to the negative terminal is difficult to get to. You might need to drill an additional hole for thicker cables if you plan on adding an inverter. You can see details in this post.

Thanks for the info on the faucet! The drain still sucks, but this faucet is a step in the right direction. As much as I don’t like supporting Amazon and its weird off-brand products … this faucet really makes sense. Maybe one of these days I’ll pull the drain piece out and spend a day visiting box stores and plumbing supply to try and find one that sits flush. Another idea i had was taking the sink out, removing the drain, and using a press to deform the bottom a wee bit to have more slope. But surely that’s asking for trouble.

That’s great news about the battery! Thanks for confirming! I will try to get pics and post up if I get one installed.

I thought about pulling the sink out and pressing it, chickened out because I was afraid of stress cracking it somewhere. I sent you a PM with some additional photos.

I've had some people ask about adding the under bed storage. It raises the mattress approximately 3". We removed the handle on the hinge. I didn't even try to lower the top so I may not have needed to. We use a leash to close the camper pretty much from day 1 of ownership. It took approximately 2 hours to put together with a power rivet tool. It was a lot of rivets. I did use some 3M dual sided tape to hold it in place.

We ordered it from BVO to avoid paying freight. They are now Off-grid 4x4 and no longer a dealer. At the time he said he was working with a dealer and still authorized to work on OEV campers. I have no clue if that is still true 18 months later.

We do not have the king bed extension and I have no clue if it works with the king bed.
