2021 Tundra, aka lazy brolander.

It's hard to find a truck as "mechanical" as 2nd gen.

The first trip was a success, downside was fuel consumption, the trailer tips north of 8k lb empty, so 9mpg was the best it could muster, but the towing experience was more pleasant than the smaller micro minnie.

Everything on the trailer worked perfectly, Victron components definitely worth every single penny.

Beautiful truck. I have a 14 Tundra and i'll never ever sell it. I guarantee your spec will be one of the most sought after Toyota 4x4's in time. Lunar rock, 4x4, 5.7, Pro, and last year of the 2.5 gen. Love the mods you've done. Bet that's a riot to drive.

Launching in 4hi is a riot, it'll spin the front tires and take up both lanes and hit high 12s and trap mid 102mph.

Like you, this gen Tundra speaks to me.

Another kick ass camping trip.

I also realized this is about as close to camping as a Tundra is a sports car.....

Then back to work duty.

Solid set-up youve got there.

I had Ken do my diffs about a month ago(an hour away from him) and he is an amazing wealth of knowledge. Put 1500 miles on the truck this last weekend to do some trout fishing, and as was more than happy w how well it did.

We first tried to do the Lake Superior trip back in 2022 in wife's 4runner, we couldn't finish it due to time so only made it near to Chapleau, we also didn't have a trailer then.

This time we took the trailer and went to 4 provincial parks, I truly believe one of Ontario's biggest treasure is our provincial parks, the beauty and the infrastructure it provides is truly beautiful.

this was past Mississagi park, we were the only car on that road for about 100km

We made it to Aubrey Falls, if you are into art, Tom Thompson from Group of 7 had made couple well known paintings from it.

I can't imagine they paddle up the Mississagi river from Lake Superior, hauling all the equipment, up the rocks, to camp for weeks at time in the 1920s

This was a rough road:

tried to get to some of the harder to get place, such as this place, Batchawana falls, unfortunately there was a storm before and the river couldn't be crossed, so this was best photo I could get:

the road got very very tiny, this was the widest section I could find as on the map, this was classified as a provincial road.

We had to park it and walk the rest:

Then you get Lake Superior, the water was amazingly cold, while the sand was incredibly warm

saw someone from Alberta with a right hand drive LC100 with a trailer, it was neat:

The set up was amazing, but definitely need to figure out a better generator or max solar set up, the trailer has 3x 320ah Lithionics as main battery source, those three lasted about 7 days, our spots were all very wooded area so the solar couldn't charge anything, thankfully I replaced the trailer's 12v batteries with two Wattcycle 100ah, so the trailer battery is 200ah, and it had allowed us to run the fridge when the main batteries ran out.
